Deadbeats beware: Z-Ro‘s got your number. The Houston mainstay’s new single, You, calls out men everywhere who can’t keep their sh*t together. He doesn’t mince words, delivering three patronizing verses in an equally patronizing sing-song delivery. But hey, he’s the one with the mic, so he’ll be as damn preachy as he wants to be. Way to tell ‘em, Z-Ro. On the production side of things, he chooses to keep the beat homegrown, throwing in some bouncy synths over a little Houston percussion. It’s fun enough to be catchy but serious enough for his words to sink in. You will appear on his upcoming album, Crack, out September 9.
YEAH I HEARD THIS BUT DIDNT KNOW WHO RAPPED IT,YEAH HAS THAT SOUTHERN SOUND TO IT,IF IT HAD A REMIX ID LIKE TO SEE SOMONE LIKE BIG BOI ON IT BUT YEA THIS IS A DECENT TRACK..
He did a great job on the production and yet his lyrics and delivery were still strong enough to keep me paying attention to what he was saying rather than just the flow of the song. 4 stars
Real Talk. This is a hit 4 zero. This reminds me of when I first heard "Gettin it" by Too Short. Pure wisdom! Calling out all individuals who are not doing their best nor playing the game of life fairly. The production is very good, I could see Pac layin down a verse for this. R.I.P. Banger plus a star for content and creativity.
Damn! This was a sleeper to me, wasn't expecting to hear this type of song. Z-Ro is a crazy good rapper, I love his voice (similar to Bun B in a way) and his flow. The whole construction of the song is perfect, and its got a good swagger to it as well. Definetly will be bumpin this, BANGER.
Yo I been gone for a bit but this song is fire. Sounds like butch cassidy at some parts and bun b in others. Z-ro been underrated for a while, a majority of his songs or the ones he featured on are fire.
The buzz about this new album, CRACK, has people talking. Controversy, maybe??? Everyone outside of Houston has slept on Z-Ro for years... don't follow suit. If you think this is hot, just wait.
I've heard him featured once or twice but dis flows nice and has a positive msg. I as well would like hear a Big Boi or even possibly a Talib Kweli or Common on dis.
havnt heard from this cat in a while...this is some deep @*#$!,pointing out all peoples faults, and the consequences of wrong decisions etc...smooth flow...powerful lyrics...luv it!
I like his flow and the production goes hard...it's fresh in my opinion! As it's something different I consider it a banger Ps: I'm already dancing with this lol
Z-Ro is always on point. If you haven't heard that ABN album I suggest you listen. both him and Trae came with it. This song is great. He spits nothing but truth.
I agree ozzylee that ABN album is worth a listen. That one and the new Daz Dillinger album are both two albums that need to be heard but probley won't be. Speaking of ABN and Trae, Congratz to Trae for gettin the key to the city in Houston. He's been doing good work around there for people and he deserves to be credited. Good @*#$! homie.
man that's that real @*#$! right there...and if yall still sleep on ro yall need to wake up...and not just this or that a.b.n. that just dropped either...
