YV - I Gotta Dollar ft. Polow Da Don
Artist: YV
Featuring: Polow Da Don
Producer: Willy Will
Album: TBD
Label: Zone 4 Ent/Interscope
Ever since Soulja Boy topped the charts with his hit single Crank Dat in the fall of ’07, a whole new subgenre of catchy, mindless “ring tone rap” has begun to infiltrate the Southern hip hop scene. YZ, a rookie artist out of Louisville, doesn’t mind dumbing down his music to make a buck. The title of his new single, I Gotta Dollar, shows that he’s already well on his way. Following Soulja Boy’s lead, the song has already spawned its own “BuckWheat” dance, in tribute to the Little Rascals-inspired hook. Featuring a bridge sung by platinum producer Polow Da Don and a beat by Willy Will, I Gotta Dolla is sure to make an appearance (or twenty) at your local club tonight.

I hate when awesome beats get wasted by horrible lyrics. This chorus is so lame I'd be embarassed to have it on my ipod. Sick-ass beat, but wow...not my kind of song,

the hook sucks, but ive heard way worse. This will probably get some airplay. But not on my ipod. It would have been nice to hear Polow actually rap on a track other than just singin.I Think if Polow does a solo album, and hes got alot of his own beats, then it will be a hot album. Polow is the best producer in the game right now. period

The beat ain't bad, but even if I don't fully understand what they say I guess it's sh*t...I'm so sick of dollar themes! There are many important things to talk about!

Dude sounds like JKwon.... this is not in the same category to me as Soulja Boy music... this actually has a nice beat.. the chorus is catchy not just repeating "i dance, i dance?" The lyrical content is kinda recycled but this is dudes first single... I dont expect him to be Jay on the first joint.. The fact that Polow cosigned him means he should have some pretty creative shit commin up... I'd bump this on my way to the club with a car full of ladies... They said he from Louisville... Does anyone know if they talkin bout Louisville KY?
