After Yung Berg emerged on the major scene in mid-‘07 (who could forget the summer hit Sexy Lady?), numerous not-so-successful buzz tracks intended for his upcoming debut album, Look What You Made Me, were leaked to DJBooth. Late last year, though, YB snagged a guest feature on Koch labelmate Ray J‘s new single Sexy Can I (which is also set to be featured on Look), and the move has brought both artists back into the limelight. Quick to take advantage of his popularity revival, Berg has once again created another female fanbase-geared single, My Kinda Girl. Assisted by fellow heartthrob Trey Songz, look for My Kinda Girl to be a hit within the industry’s ideal fan base. So, what exactly have we made Berg into? Find out later this summer.
Yung Berg is slowly starting to gain a bit more respect from me as an artist. His flow still isn't all that, but it has its moments. The chorus on this is OK and Yung Berg's flow is decent. I'm not really feeling the beat and overall flow of the track.
Alright Alright, not bad.. his infamy in the booth is was made me listen, but expecting something werthy of a Gladbag, i was surprised.. Will Berg develop before his window of opportunity closes? It will interesting to see!
Production was way unexpected! Pretty dope. Which it would've banged a bit harder. I like Trey's vocals on here. Berg's flow is getting better. He's not bad at all...but for some reason, no song that he's dropped since "Sexy Lady" has been able to add up to it. 3 stars for Trey's featuring and the production and a okay Berg flow.
I really like this, no joke, Trey's part is amazin for real! Berg actually rips it up for once, only ever liked him on sexy lady! aha I only listen to 'sexy can I' for the beginning, then I switch if off when Berg comes on. But, as I said, this is a pure banger!
mmoore1127: We planned to quit on Berg; we've failed. Sorry, bro. Songz doesn't sound to excited to be doing this song; maybe his check hadn't come in yet. Berg has potential, I hope he can crack it soon.
i don't think Berg is that bad, not great, but not nearly as bad as some of the other rappers featured here. however, most of Trey's guest appearances I really don't like. I could make a list, off Trilla, Mail on Sunday... like the only thing i thought he was really good on was Bust It Baby remix. i don't think these guest appearances do him justice. this is another, he just sounds bad on the hook. terrible. Berg, just give us another Sexy Lady lol
i've been on all the berg tracks cuase he's a got a good swag about him...this beat doesn't really fit his style it's still hot and songz on the hook is somethin ya'll should get used to cause it's HEAT every time!
This is gonna be the sh*t... no joke! If you heard it only once and didn't like it... listen to it again... its hot... and the chorus is Hot.... I'm sorry but this is the sh*t... and its def. gonna get radio play!
Yung Berg is a good rapper, he reminds me Mims in some way...
Every song which I had a chance to listen by Berg goes in my rotation automatically, so this track hasn't made an exception...tight chorus by Trey...
Anyone who sees YB as a good rapper must not know good rappers at all! I mean, see Ole-G for example. If YB reminds you Mims, that’s bad! And it has nothing to do with the subjects of his songs or the commercial appeal. He’s just one more taking advantage of the fact that you don’t have to be skilled (flow, lyrics, originality) to make money in the game no more. And Trey didn’t save the track like he always does. Chorus is too easy.
FredRico
man, he got a flow and you can't argue with that...he doesn't sound like other rappers, I can recognize him easily and it is a big plus for him...
He already got a big smash single and heaps of dope tracks...
He got a nice collabo with Ray J which is doing really big in Billboard...so real recognize real.
Ole-G, what you said is true but where you see a plus I see a minus. I can recognize him too, but that's cuz his flow is below average. Damn, I can recognize SouljaBoy instantly, and dont tell me that's a plus! lol See, there's too many wannabe rappers and I can't take'em all seriously just because they had a nice chorus (Sexy Lady), a choreography (SouljaBoy) or a hot beat (there's an endless list... but I'll pick 40Gloc's "Borrow you"). I used to care about Billboard, believe me! But since I figured it was mostly about sales and not exactly quality, I went on searching for new references, and that's when I found DjBooth...
I got you, but how you can compare Berg with Pimple Boy?They're on different levels fo sure...
Of course it's about sales, I suspect that basically all rappers do care about sales, it's their job, it's all about money...
Billboard is gay, I know that, but it's probably the one and only chart where you can show off and make people aware about yourself
Btw, we got a lot of favorite artists in common!
its straight...but yall he really ant all dat bad...alotta betta den sum of da otha @*#$! i've heard on here...but i agree, guess trey jus needed a few $ so he hopped on da chorus....lol donjonjon
na im not liking to this one n i tried. listen to it like 3 times for trey songz (cuz us va catz have to sho love) but im just not there wit this song, its just seem like its missing much to it, not a chart topper at all but an ok song 2 out of 5
Does this guy plan on making hit records by featuring average male singers on all of his songs? If so, it doesn't seem to be working and if I were him I'd change my style a little. Mediocrity at its best.

I kinda like this song.. but something about it doesnt sound too right. I don't like the verses by YB, he could have done much better.. and trey songz sounds bored. But the chorus is really catchy "she gets down"" ..
maybe a more committed artist would make this track sound better
