With the nuanced delivery Young Son brings to much of his recorded work, it might not be immediately apparent that, in addition to inspiring deep thoughts during headphone listening sessions, he can Git Live with the very best of them.  I’ve had the privilege of seeing this side of the Minneapolis up-and-comer firsthand, but those who haven’t made it to one of his shows can get a taste of what I’m talking about by listening to the third entry in his Booth-exclusive Counting Sheep series.  Inspired by performance-style records by the legendary likes of Run DMC and the Fat Boys, Git Live finds Young Son spitting high-energy rhymes over a hard-hitting, percussion and synth instrumental by Rhino.  Fellow Twin Cities artist HYPEL amps up the adrenaline-pumping atmosphere yet further by stepping into the classic ‘hype man’ role.  Those who like what they hear should stay tuned for more exclusive cuts every Tuesday leading up to the June 9th release of Young Son’s sophomore album, Dreamer’s Poetry.

Wow damn! Based on his past songs, I was not expecting a song like this. But I'm not gonna lie, MH put it down on here. His flow was crazy. Nothin' less than a banger. Keep it up dude, for real.

I gotta be honest, the first couple features were pretty cool but nothin spectacular. The last 2 have been HOTT! Last time MH brought them laid-back, poetic rhymes. On this one the intensity, energy, and wittiness is outrageous! The production is fire and the hook is live. Nice work MH, keep it comin!!!

:o Wow!!! Not what I'd expect from my short experience as a Young Son fan...
So good to hear him flow so LIVEly and dynamic!
"They wanna sound like Son, huh? and I'm just tryna shine like Sun, haha!" NICE!
This is the new "K. Sparks phenomenon", just watch!
Beat is banging, it gets you excited!

WOW, this is different to Son's style. Such a versatile rapper. I gotta a question for U. Did you create this in a space of one week? or did you accumalate all the tracks and then spread them into a weekly basis?

A little late on the feedback, but had to give some props to our boy MH. Outside of the hook (which just was too repetitive for me), this track was straight fire. Lyrically, it was very solid. Way to come with somethin new MH.
