Lil Wayne is undoubtedly one of the most powerful men in hip-hop, but his Royal Weezyness is on a mission to expand his empire beyond himself and build a true Young Money movement. Hence Bed Rock, the second single by the collective Young Money family. Featuring verses from Wayne, Gudda Gudda, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Tyga and Jae Millz, Bed Rock is a showcase for Young Money’s considerable talent. (Side note: Omarion’s vocals on the original were replaced up by Wayne’s frequent collaborator Lloyd after Omarion was dropped from the label.) Will Bed Rock provide Wayne with the solid foundation he needs to turn his young roster into legit superstars? We’ll find out when their unimaginatively titled album Young Money Fam drops this winter.

ill agree drop Gudda but Nikki i thought it was nice to hear a girl on there - and not just the hook. Loving the Lloyd hook on this one!!! i think wayne could hav set the tone a little more - coulda have outshined the rest if he did tht one - but im so feeling tht line "i knock her lights out and an still shine" but u come to expect tht from wayne

PS i ment to giv it 3-4 stars but for some reason its on classic :(

Complete formula made to produce a solid radio hit. Mission accomplished.

This will have close to the amount of success that 'Every Girl' had and Wayne's cast is actually making names for themselves without getting outshined by the boss. Fun, teen-ish production/lyrics will make this one a hit.

I would have preferred a posse cut with less of this posse. Wayne, Drake, and Millz would have made my cut. Nice hook from Lloyd (whats new?) and props to Kane Beatz, who has long been a very under-the-radar producer.

Kane and Lloyd were the two high points on the song. Lil' Wayne started it off nicely too with a good verse, but I definitely don't think that everyone should have been included here. Some of the artists had some flow problems on these beats (some of em I don't even know who is who). But overall, it can go in my rotation.

I love this, Lloyd provided a good hook. Wayne was good, Gudda was so-so, Nicki was nice, Drake was raw (what's new?), Tyga was decent, Jae Millz was good enough to wrap it up.

Good song. Much rather just heard Drake, Wayne, and Tyga take this one alone with Kane and Lloyd.

Then it would of had the potential to be a real banger.

This track is nice, pretty much the same formula as Every Girl except i think Every Girl was better.
Could have done without the last 2 rappers (or at least put millz in gudda gudda's place)

But i think Wayne knows what he's doing...if this becomes a hit, Wayne has successfully transformed his crew into a successful/bankable group, something many other superstar rappers have failed to do! (check Ja Rule with The Inc, Nelly with St Lunatics, Jeezy with USDA etc.)

I also wouldnt be surprised if very soon we get word that Lloyd has officially signed with Young Money

Wayne really does NOT understand quality over quantity.

Weezy - rapping about the first thing that comes to mind. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but it’s most often interesting.

Gudda Gudda - The first time I heard this verse, I thought it was fcuking hilarious. And then I realized that this insults my intelligence. Moving on.

Nicki - Made Plies AND Kool Keith blush. So, dats gotta count for something, right?

Drake - at least shows a modicum of intelligence.
(Yes, you gotta lose some in order to win some)

Tyga - Not bad (Yes, you're right my expectations were pretty low)

Jae Millz - Now what should I say other than that he manages to sound like Rick Ross.

Lloyd - I never realized that Omarion's vocals were that ordinary.

Production - Guilty Pleasure (the less said about this beat, the better)

OVERALL - This could have been so much worse. You ask how? Ever heard of Birdman. (Yes, in life you don't always get what you want)

The song is straight fire. The verses don't necessarily show off the talent of Young Money, but they are good nonetheless. Song's been on repeat for the last few days. Unreal song! Love Weezy!

Ah, I have to agree with Ausuge. It's decent, but I'm not excited about it. I feel like this track was done more as a promotion than an attempt at making dope music, so in that respect mission accomplished...I guess.

Dang, I guess I'm just full of comparison scenarios today because at this point I think that Young Money could possibly be the present day No Limit. Am I wrong??? Wayne and Drake are word play masterminds and Nicki gets it in too. Side Note: Not to mention that she's sexy as hell anyways. But Gudda is always so so for some reason. I think he might need a ghost writer. Millz is cool. He does his thing from time to time. Tyga was okay. I know he can do better but it was okay. Lloyd is alright as usual. I mean, he has some songz that was just complete smashes but this one was something I could tolerate from him. All around, it's a 3.5

The verses were too short. Wasn't feeling Gudda or Nicki. Weezy and Drake were okay; the Lloyd hook and the production were the best parts. Tyga and Millz were mediocre. Omarion, however, would fit better.

Gotta agree with that1kid13

Did they even try to make a hot song? The lyrics are lazy and the beat sounds childish like something Zaytoven would make for Gucci or OJ. I guess Lloyd's hook was the only thing decent but still couldn't save the song.
