Young Life is out to prove that he doesn’t need the star power of artists like Rick Ross and Lil Wayne in order to earn some shine. Since he struck gold with DJBooth-charted #1 banger I’m A Boss, the California rapper looks to dig deeper with his new mixtape track, My Life. Off of the Hard Knock Life: The Black & White Print Edition mixtape, Life puts Compton on his back with a little help from Auto-Tune. If you can overlook the fact he isn’t T-Pain, the young (no pun intended) emcee exhibits a unique blend of Southern swag, New York confidence, and the West Side smoothness he needs to differentiate himself from Cali’s surplus of indistinguishable rappers. Produced by MG, My Life showcases Life’s inner Nino Brown –  but with an abundance of charisma.

I am pretty tired of every artist trying to pick up a Vo-corder and sound like T-Pain. The beat on here is nice. I don't really think Young Life is all that good of a rapper. This right here is just OK...it actually would be better; much better, in fact, if Lil Wayne and Rick Ross was on here. Then it would be a BANGER at least. But right now, this is just OK how it is. I'll be on the lookout for a remix soon.

2/5. He doesn't have any creativity and is taking bits and pieces from everything out right now and trying to make it big. The song is good, but the concept and structure of the track is just so played out right now so I can't listen to this as much as Mr. Young Life would like me to.

You're right CB. I like the song alright but the concept has been over done. Its like a mix of "Hip Hop Saved My Life" and the Game's "My Life".

This is soft! My best way to describe it. Generic autotune vocals with absolutly no energy. Generic lyrics with no depth or even point. Production is cool The beat isn't so bad but young life needs to go back to the lab and fine tune his gift. Cause this was certified...

Young Life has some nice talent, but its hard to showcase it for an audience who doesn't want to hear the Auto-Tune anymore (unless it comes from T-Wayne West).

Life has some heat on this new mixtape, if this isn't your thing... stick around a bit longer.

Remember: This is only a mixtape song.

This song disappointed me. When it began I though wow what a good production! But then he started rappin and I wasn't convinced about my sensations anymore lol! The production is really good in my opinion, it's catchy and has a certain atmosphere, but he ruined the song...first of all I don't like the autotune, ya'll know that and I see many of you is getting sick of it, and second his flow is boring! But for the production I give this a 2,5
