Young King - Superman ft. Carmicheal Antoine
Artist: Young King
Producer: Lamont Gant
Album: Untiled Debut Album
Label: Indie
Looking to start a successful career in hip-hop, Atlanta’s Young King has released numerous mixtapes and won various talent shows. Right now though, he’s just relaxing at his favorite spot and spitting game to the ladies by explaining that he can be their Superman (a pick-up line made famous by ol’ Slim Shady). If there is one overall strong point of Atlanta’s hip-hop artists, it’s their swagger; something which Young King definitely doesn’t lack. With contributions from Carmichael Antoine (on the chorus) and Lamont Grant (on the production), this Superman is one record that might receive spins faster than a speeding bullet.

Beat is on point. Young King flow is decent, although it sounds a little stuffy. Hook is nice. This should receive a welcoming applause by the airwaves. Job well done.

I'm gettin sick of this superman noise real quick...hook is nothin special...flows well to this simple beat but it almost sounds like he has a lisp or something...IDK

I like his delivery. Sounds a little like Weezy with that lisp he has. Nothing special though.

The production on here seems pretty lame overall. The chorus is just OK. Young King doesn't really rap clearly if you know what I mean. His words are really slurred together; but not in a good way like Stat Quo. I dunno; nothing stands out to me on this effort.

Two songs called "Superman" on the same day? I like Auburn's version better out of the two, but we all know Em's version is the best!

For a young artist, new to the game, to create a catchy song like this right off the bat... not bad. I agree, at times its hard to understand what he is saying, but rappers like Rich Boy, Hurricane Chris and Twista have made a nice living off doing that. The chorus is solid!

Yeah this sounds really good from a young artist. I think the guy (Carmichael Antoine) on the chorus deserves the credit for a good song though, maybe he should remix it and put Young King on one verse.
