Atlanta native Young Envy has gone through numerous traumas in the course of his life. After losing both his parents as a preteen, the 18-year-old became extra-determined to make a name for himself on the hip-hop scene. Recently signed to So So Def/Island Urban, the DJBooth is proud to present I Like Her, the underground single that helped get him a record deal. Self-produced (along with J Mercy), Envy utilizes a simplistic rhyme scheme and successful formula to talk about a female he’s really getting into. Underground hits such as Pop, Lock & Drop It and Umma Do Me were big before Huey and Rocko got signed; will Young Envy follow in their footsteps and make I Like Her a nationwide summer anthem?
This beat is HARD right here! I am really feeling the production! Good move for So So Def! His flow is somewhat different; so I think it has potential to last in the game! The Chorus is HOT and this is THUMPIN!!! BANGER
Very catchy tune. Therefore, I don't see why it wouldn't catch on--especially at the club. It has the same flavor as its predecessors. Basic flow but you don't need to get too sophisticated with your flow when you are trying to produce a club banger.
When people say that a "beat is bananas," I always think... what does that mean? After listening to this, however, I think I found the answer. I have a feeling this one is going to play all summer long. (Feel free to quote me on this).
been heard dis but neva who it was....like dis song...wow i swear niggas always tryna look at ur toes...n females LUUUUVVVV dredheads down here...dis shud do gud
Well get ready to here this all over the radio. That doesnt make it hot though. It is a nice beat, but once again some real weak lyrics. This is just OK.
This is my first rating and i know it wont be da last..First its hot for the clubs and radio.. Second its not different but its simple and catchy..I could say mo but it would be hateration..
Well i thought it was gunna be a good song by the very begiing but then it just sounds like any other so so def artist song....beat would be better with a different artist.
