In March 2009, T.I. is set to begin a federal prison sentence expected to last exactly one year. During their boss’s absence, most of the Grand Hustle roster are working on new albums they hope to release in that span, from Alfamega to DJ Drama to B.o.B to 8Ball & MJG to new signee Killer Mike. This coming summer, second-in-command Young Dro is ready to drop his sophomore album, tentatively titled P.O.L.O. (Playas Only Live Once). On the first buzz single, Dro is ready to Take Off with labelmate Yung L.A. (who is planning his own debut, Futuristic Leland). Produced by Raz (for Beat Billionaires), Take Off might not pick up an ‘09 Best of the Booth award (Tip won two this year), but it stays true to what Grand Hustle‘s always been about – making authentic anthems for the Southern streets.

I've been a fan of Dro for a minute, just because I thought his swag was fresh from the get go (way before "swag" became a staple word in hip hop). I think this is pretty fly. I know his last single wasn't that hot, but this might put him back on the top.

Dro's last album was hot, regardless of a couple of the single choices. Turn any of his music up on high bass, and you will be entertained. This one was hot too, I like how he stayed away from using TI for success because I think it's a hit regardless.

Definitely a song I can bump with the bass up. I didnt feel Yung L.A. on his first hit a while back but I'm gettinig used to his unique voice and he brings a fresh flow! Young Dro was solid too, bad repetitive hook but I can put up with it, with a solid production! Banger right here

Grand Hustle has a strong line up. They will survive this year with the king locked down just fine. This beat caught me off guard. I didn't expect that segue from the intro. This is a certified banger just in the first 30 seconds.

To follow up on CB126405's comment: T.I. probably would've outshined Dro on this song, but Dro is the one outshining Yung L.A. instead. A good way to showcase himself without everyone talking about T.I. Regardless, this isn't his best song, but a good album filler type track.

sound like its a little unpolished but the beat base line and the classic young dro lyrical style definately puts dro back to where he was

I love the music and the beat on this song, but I'm hating him. I don't really like dudes who rap like this, they hurt my nerves! It could have been a banger to me, but it actually isn't. Also the hook has to be redone to me

i aint no T.I. fan or nuthing like that. all his songs are gettin annoying but Dro can bring some pretty sick @*#$! to the table. the beat sounds real dirty south, and his flow sounds sicker than it did three years ago. imma have to give this song four stars. i might change it later when i hear it in the ride. cant tell the bass on these gay ass computer speakers
