If a female plays dumb from time to time in a relationship, she probably knows exactly what she is doing. In fact, despite vehement denial that she “doesn’t know what you’re talking about,” or that she “had no idea you liked…,” chances are good that she does know and will continue to use her act as an advantage. Two artists who know about this Hollywood-esque act are Philadelphia native Young Chris and his Def Jam labelmate The-Dream. On their new collaboration, You Know I, they spend three-plus minutes explaining (and re-explaining) everything that their women should already know about them. Musically, we at the Booth know that the former Young Gunner would like to release his long-delayed new album, Now or Never; hopefully his label will listen better than his lady.
Hey DJ Booth, in case you didn't know, Chamillionaire's gotta sick A Milli freestyle. You put a whole bunch of them already, but Cham kills it. just fyi
The-Dream dipped his foot in this one for the production. This is some really nice stuff. Young Chris sounds pretty smooth, but the lyrics sound sort of jumbled. I think Dream smashed the hook, and his voice wasn't annoying like some of his recent stuff. This is an a'ight song, but it's not super hot. I'll put it in rotation though. No doubt.
Mybe I'm trippin but Young Chris is sounding like the old Jay-Z and the Dream is sounding like Kellz. Is this the new Best of Both World in the making? Whatever! It's a Banger. 4 stars
This is JAY-Z. Don't believe the Booth. Only words that come to mind when listening to this track is ..."seduction"...and "more seduction". Yes, this track is for GROWN FOLKS, if you are under 18, please do not hit the play button and move on to the next song. This song is ORGANIC.
^^^ That's exactly what I felt after his first couple verses. Which really surprises me since I would've never really compared young chris to hova?!?! Loved the-dream on this, he really put his smooth groove all over this track.
all three of young chris songs off of this album have been on fire. I'm feelin this! production is fire, dream made somethin special outta this one, This is really good yall!
Wack rapping by Young Chris...way too jumbled for sure...On the other hand the only thing that saves the song is that The-Dream produced and is on it...if not for The-Dream, trash...
This song is on FIREE!, but D-/\/\an, Yes The Dream does sound like Kellz, but dont ever put The Dream into another sentence with Kellz again, He's good, but not that good LOL and this song reminds me so much of Take You Down to, Definitely worth listening to again!!
This beat is crazy hot, period. The Dream is definetly still on the come up and hasn't reached his full potential yet. He gets better with every song, vocal and production! Not sure if Chris fits perfectly on this track, I preffer Dream on here a lot more. Still, I gotta give it a 4 becasue this beat is just bananas.
This is really different for Young Chris. But with Dream on the track you know its right. THe beat goes hard in the paint like Shawn Kemp in 96. Chris kills this.
o_m_gosh I LUV DIS!=) DIS iz sooo sex-c and hot! i luv young chris's rap-n and da dream actual-e did a GREAT JOB make-n DIS more sec-x....DIS iz ma jam =]
Yo SBHS...this dude has been around for a minute.. He was signed to Rocafella as part of a group called young gunz composed of Young Chris (this dude) & Young Neef. You may remember a monster hit they had in 2003 named 'Can't Stop, Won't Stop'....
This song is fire right here..I agree with BDF44 all three singles have been fire
Not bad... Hopefully this will be the big blow up track for Young Chris maybe he'll be on a vid on 106 since The-Dream is on here. These days if you not workin' wit a big name artist, you ain't gettin no damn where.
I'm feeling the music and the beat, chill and sexy, but I don't like how he sings...sounds too repetitive! it's in rotation but I won't listen to this again, I guess
not feeling Young Chris too much on this one. I dunno, maybe it'll grow on me if it is released as a sigle and actually gets play down here in the South. If not, i guess i'll never really care for this song. Dream did good tho.
yea when yall said old jay-zz it all made sense. He does sound like vintage Jay-z. Dream sounds gud on diss. Dream is makin me a fan of his. kepp doin it dream.
listen to young chris with lil wayne on 'paradise', the track is hot but on there he sounds a lot more like hova than on here. the-dream produced well, but the song aint enough for me.
