I’m not going to front. A couple years ago former G-Unit soldier Young Buck was watching label boss 50 Cent do most of the winning, but it’s a new decade and Buck is determined to start claiming victory yet again (we already know he’s offering No Excuses). On his new mixtape cut, the appropriately titled Who’s Winning, Buck decides to take a beat from the Black Democrats that starts off sounding like an ‘80s aerobics video and then transforms into a certified head-nodder, and flip the bouncing production into a reminder that despite all the drama, the man’s microphone skills are as explosive as ever: “Tellin my fans I’m ok, in the Phantom, it’s grey…I still keep it real, I live in the A.” I mean come on, how could you not at least enjoy a track with an Onyx Slam reference? I love Young Buck. Just about every track featured on the booth of Buck's has been a banger in my opinion. "Shotgun shells and AK bullets, ain't nothin' changed." Buck says it best himself in that he only does gangsta rap. This makes him far less marketable when he never attempts to diversify his audience. Still, Banger in my opinion!

Never imagined this is what I would get when I double-clicked on this MP3 yesterday. I like surprises (when they are good) and this falls into that category.

Being “hard”, doesn’t mean you’re an artist. Being a “badass” ain’t having talent.
So let's make it clear the reason this songs is a banger (besides the hot beat) is because Young Buck is a talented artist (flow and lyrics show it), despite raised fingers and gun tatoos. |

clearly, im a little biased, but i never understood the hate towards buck.. kinda seemed childish on the part of 50 'riders. buck puts his heart and soul into his music and you can always hear/feel the emotion, you cant knock that. hes done better, but this is some solid buck.

As far as I can remember, I've never enjoyed a solo Young Buck joint as much as this right here.
Flow is an absolute highlight, wrapping his twisting lyrical wordplay around the smooth groove. |
