If there’s one rapper who knows how to weather a storm without faltering or becoming discouraged, Young Buck is the man. Through a series of setbacks that would have driven most emcees to lay down the mic and, I dunno, become dental hygienists, the former G-Unit member/victim has continued to churn out dope tunes for his ever-devoted core audience. On his latest mixtape leak, When the Rain Stops, Buck lets listeners in on the secret that’s seen him through the tough times. Well, OK, I’m not sure that looking on the bright side, appreciating the little things, and starting your day with a high-quality blunt can be called a “secret,” but it certainly sounds like a surefire recipe for happiness. In any case, the artist’s amiable rhymes, coupled with a laid-back mix of street-ready synths, organ, and mellow guitar licks make for a summer jam that’ll get heads nodding and faces smiling, whatever the weather. If Rain leaves you craving more from the Nashville street veteran, pull out your calendars and a Magic Marker; Buck’s latest street album, The Rehab, is scheduled to drop July 6.

Damn, go Young Buck. It's official, The Rehap is going to be @*#$! sick. Definitely feeling that head nodding aspect of the beat. Hook was enjoyable and it's evident in Buck's verses, that he is my favorite "former" member of G-Unit for a reason. Solid effort!

Been in my iPod for awhile now (different beat tho) and I've bumped it quite a bit now that I think about it. Real hope Buck works out his contract with G-Unit because it would be a real shame to have such a talented artist just sitting on the shelf.

it's a silky smooth track from buck. i didn't expect this. the only minus is the hook. they shall put a singer over it with another lyrics...then the song would be def 5/5 for me. |

The sooner Buck's label situation is resolved the better. The guy is way to talented to be just sitting in idle. Hurry up T.I. and sign Buck to Grand Hustle.

Great song with a west coast vibe. I love a song you can sit back and just chill too, and enjoy the ride. I was suprised it was so good, but I shouldn't have been. The last new song I heard from Buck was decent too.

I always have a soft spot in my heart for Young Buck! He is just so Thuggish that you gotta love him. He spits the truth on here and the beat is nice and laid back. I am definitely feeling this track! BANGER status!

I've really been back on my Buck ish lately. Or I should say, I was never really a fan until the last few months when he started releasing an onslaught of new music. I might have just been underrating him the whole time, but I'll take tracks like When the Rain Stops any day. The man's a true lyricist.

Someone tell Buck the truth, be a good friend instead of a groupie and tell him to slow down on the weed. It is affecting his decision making, as in his right mind he would of shitted on the track. He has more and this was not one of them.
