For the past few weeks, the talk of the hip-hop community has been Young Buck‘s dismissal from the G-Unit group. Always known to start trouble, G-Unit head honcho 50 Cent sat down alongside Banks and Yayo for an interview with MTV, last week, in which he described Buck’s lifestyle as “like a drug dealer” and predicted a diss record would be coming. Sure enough, Buck took the time to vent his frustrations with the Unit on My Interview. Unlike former and current 50 foes Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Jadakiss and The Game, however, Buck implicitly states that he won’t let his career be run by conflict, but rather intends to focus on his own business. Stay tuned to see if Buck can maintain his current attitude.
This has been said a lot of times, but leaving G-Unit was the best thing Young Buck could've done. Buck's just pure dope. 3.5 stars. I wonder, though, with LAX coming up, and Buck's album coming up, do you think Buck will strike back with a Game feature? I don't see it coming, but it'd be a smart move on both their parts.
i also agree smart move by buck to leave this song is hot buck now has a chance to shine plus with the add attention to him leavin is not a bad thing cuz people are payin more attention to him as a solo artist
This track is hot, the guy on the hook made it appealing. I really liked how Buck was smart enough with the lyrics, turning something negative 50 said about him to a positive thing. “it’s too late, the whole world know what I be bout, but I do make mistakes, like any other man…”.
When will Young Buck leave anything related to G-Unit for good? It makes no sense being on the label anymore. I’m seeing 50 cent goin in the studio to sabotage him or steal his lyrics or something… better stay with BWS (The Game). Or his own label! Anyway, this is not gonna end up friendly… 3.5*
I am probably the biggest G-Unit fan on this board; but I still love Buck just about as much as 50 himself. Buck has always been straight to the point spitting real $hit in his delivery. Problem is that he knew 50-cent FOREVER! So It's not going to be a GAME type of fallout. The Game was assigned to G-Unit by Dr. Dre; and Young Buck has always been faithful to 50 and he will remain on the G-Unit label. I have been following them since the beginning and I know this for FACT. Anyway; this song is hard and the beat is hot too. I'll give it a 3.5 as well!
I like the beat and the music, but his flow sounds boring to me because I don't understand what he's saying...anyway, I appreciate that the chorus changes! It's in rotation for sure!
haha a blind man cuda seen this coming..gotta give young buck props 4 putting this out finally he can unleash his lyrical prowess witout being muffled song production is gud as well as the raw flow which he tells how he sees it..
Let's have a moment of silence for the death of G-Unit...Amen. He may not have been the head of G-Unit but Buck was the heart, and ya'll know "My Interview" isn't quite a Buck classic , but it does speak volumes.
Feelin the Chorus. Beat is tight...kinda calm but its cool. With out Buck it seems like Unit will be crashing and falling sometime soon. Lets hear a Game and Buck track!!
I think this song is a big f*ck you to 50 Cent. Listen to his second verse about Kane and Abel, sounds like he is comparing 50 to Kane and himself to Abel.
