Featured back in May, Yo Gotti‘s 5 Star lived up to my early predictions and then some, getting heavy rotation from Southern hip-hop fans and attaining anthem status among countless female listeners. Now, four months later, the hit street single has received the official remix treatment. After Gucci Mane‘s opener and a brand new second verse by the “King of Memphis” himself, the recession-proof Trina jumps on board to assert her own 5 Star status over Hot Rod‘s original boardwork, and Lil Boosie steps back into his Independent mode as he brings the track to a close (Anybody else surprised that neither Hurricane Chris nor Pitbull chipped in for their Polo Grounds/J Records labelmate?). In addition to getting listeners hyped for the 2010 release of Live From The Kitchen, this remix should help build buzz for each of the guest features’ forthcoming solo projects—first up is Boosie’s SuperBad LP, set to hit stores next week (September 15th).

I was only a fan of the original because of the sick production (play it in the car with subs and you'll know what I am talking about), but all these Dirty South favorites make this a bit more enjoyable. Admitted, not my cup of tea, but this should continue to do very well in the clubs.

I'm wit Z on this one, because that production is worthy of an EPIC song. Yo Gotti just isn't that dude that is able to make the most of it, in my opinion. The hook is horrible, so cliche and uninteresting. The original verses are boring, and the guest features here don't do anything to boost my interest in the track. OK rating just for the beat, but everything else pulls it way down.

Am I the only person who thinks that in the last year, Gucci has kind of improved rapping? I mean he's nowhere near the best, and he still looks, HOW HE LOOKS, but i have to admit, he's grown on me. I agree with Juanito_88 that Yo Gotti isnt the best to make the song HOT. and the verses are eh. Trina did ok too tho. rotation.

I think the production is banging for the clubs, but it's kinda generic, I mean I've heard many beats like this one! Their flows are kinda boring, I'm not crazy for anyone of them...sure I'd put this in rotation, but I'd dance to this rather than listening to it
