Following the April 7 release of mixtape/comp album CM2, Yo Gotti is officially free from his contract with The Orchard (which started off as a deal with its now-defunct predecessor, TVT Records). No need for an industry-wide bidding war, though; Gotti’s already found a comfortable label home with PoloGrounds Music/J Records, where he’ll release his sixth studio album (and major-label debut), Live From The Kitchen. On the first single, Gotti describes a woman who can make her own money, pay all her own bills, and take care of her kids, all without losing her cool—now that’s a 5 Star chick! Produced by Hot Rod, this record is proof that Gotti knows what kind of record the ladies love. Expect 5 Star to earn chart success and club spins, as well as being quoted on plenty of females’ MySpace pages! In any case, the record gives listeners a whiff of what Yo Gotti’s cooking up on Live From The Kitchen, which is currently set to come out the oven this September.

Wow. I love this production. Makes ya bob your head lol. Gotti has a very nice flow as well. Definitely something I'd listen to to get me in the clubbin mood. It's actually a high 4 stars in my book, but I'll go ahead and give it its 5 stars. :)

i rate this 2.5 but since its mp3-worthy it rounds up.
but its somethin in it, maybe how he sounds on the beat makes me put it in rotation. it aint too bad. i dont think ive ever liked a Yo Gotti song so this is a step up for him. |

Not even close to a 5 star for this song but I was pleasantly suprised. The synth production is generic but keeps you nodding your head. Yo Gotti has decent lyrics and a solid hook and its good enough for a possible club banger. In rotation

Definitely one of the best I've heard from Gotti. I've been picky recently though, I'd rather hear juvenile on this beat or something for sure. Gotti did well, but others could do better and I'm not gonna be bumpin this 3.5 rounded up to 4.

This dude comes off as a testosterone-less Jeezy. As for the song, I usually need to relate to a song in some way for me to really like it and seeing as my dumbass got locked down a long time ago by my "wife" I can't say anything about a 5 star bit#h. Lose the 5 star and you have my wife though. Just don't like this song.

I can't deny that this is rotation material, even tho i've never been a fan of Gotti or this kinda track. The production is hot, even tho it sounds like a lot of other street beats. The same goes for Gotti's lyrics and subject matter and flow.
