Good news for fans of club music and big ol’ asses! The now-unsigned Ying Yang Twins have reunited with CEO/beatsmith Mr. Collipark (a frequent collaborator during their TVT days) to bring Experience Unlimited’s ‘88 hit, Da Butt, into the 2010s. Expressly crafted to get gluteus maximus-es vibrating, newly-released promo single Da Bubble Butt finds Collipark serving up a funky, bass-booming beat as Kane and D-Roc deliver simple yet effective verses, mixing chanted dance instructions with shout-outs to the callipygian (“Adj., having beautifully proportioned buttocks.” You’ll want to remember that one for the SAT.) likes of Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj and Lola Luv. Complete with a stuttered hook that I’ll probably have running through my head for the rest of the afternoon, Da Bubble Butt is an ass-shaking anthem that just about any booty-lover should be able to get behind – lousy pun intended – but will it get the label execs’ attention? For now, we can only speculate.

Its great to hear Ying Yang and Collipark back together. They were meant to make music with one another. This is just as good as any of their old school jams. Expect to hear this a plenty out of your local club speakers!

z is being very generous tonight... i can only be honest and i always say why mess with a good thing. just as w/ computer love, if you're gonna jack da butt beat you better make that shyt just as good or better than the original...and i'm sure most ov ya'll agree, it ain't. not to say people wont play tha shyt...but that's a whole other story...

production is so sick. this will be one of my fav beats of 2010, i kno it. i have been wonderin if Ying Yang were ever goin to make a real comeback instead puttin out that bull ish (and not jus cuz it was in the intro). anyway, a very good start for a comeback. ppl who dont hit up the bars/clubs and parties wont understand why this is good, but i dont expect them to.

First things first-the Twins have never seen themselves as serious rappers-they know their role is as entertainers whose music people are just meant to enjoy-when Collipark left the picture, that factor went down quite a bit...Now that he's back, they're back to top form! Like I've been saying, the best artist-producer teams make each other better (much like Twista & Traxster got back together and made Category F5 his best album since Kamikaze)...this guilty-pleasure jam is living proof!
P.S. I laughed myself out of my seat when Kaine shouted out Wendy Williams-then D-Roc cut it off, because even the Twins have limits... |

Ying Yang Twins! I thought these guys were gone, I haven't heard from em in years, and while this is cool, honestly, it mostly just makes me want to listen to the original (which is much better), so...
On a side note, how many people grew up thinking they were singing "do it in the butt"? Come on, I can't be the only one.

Never been a fan of Ying Yang Twins and their type of music, and this one doesn’t change that trend. Its a fun beat to dance to at clubs for sure but but I won't be going out of my way to listen to it or sending it to my DJ friends anytime soon.
