The 115th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of YelaWolf, the Southern up-and-comer who recently earned rave reader reviews for Pop the Trunk, as well as his guest hook on Juelz Santana‘s Mixin Up the Medicine. On his brand new, previously-unreleased Dirt Road freestyle, the underground emcee flows over original boardwork by Ghet-O-Vision in-house producers Malay & KP. Yelawolf is currently preparing for the release of his latest street album, the DJ Burn One-hosted Trunk Muzik mixtape.

Readers can download a copy of the newly-released In the Booth (Volume 2), featuring freestyles 31 through 60, here! In the Booth (Volume 1), featuring freestyles 1 through 30, can be downloaded here.

Man, one of my favorites of the series. We have not had many southern emcees lay down (quality) freestyles, but YelaWolf takes the crown. Original production used, unique flow, lots of fun overall. Another 16 bars and this would have been a 5-spot.

Um, can I write f**k yeah (apparently not). Ever since Yela first appeared on my radar he's been blowing me away with his originality and he does it again here. Love him or hate him, you hear the man once and remember his voice forever. I don't know how you could ask for any more than that.

Tight rhyme schemes with his distinctive voice and flow, but he has yet to wow me completely with his lyrics. Rotation-Stuff.

And oh! meant to ask this for a while now, who's been handling these Artworks for freestyle series??? They are mad nice!

Yo! Dj Z, I am an Atlanta native and I have been on the underground scene for a minute. When I tell you i'm proud of what YelaWolf is doing, I sincerely mean it. This dude has been on the grind in the A for a minute. He is just getting better and better. That joint with Juelz and raekwon are also fire.
