Not to toot our own horn, but you can add another name to the list of heavily Booth-supported artists to hit the big league: freestyle series alum, recent interview subject, and all-around nice guy Yelawolf has snagged a major deal with Interscope. Though he only just sprinted past that massive milestone, the Arkansas rapper isn’t winded – on the contrary, Cypress Hill freestyle Ain’t Goin Out Like That the inaugural leak off Peter Rosenberg‘s forthcoming mixtape, finds him in fighting form. Can Yela lace driving, old-school production like this classic, DJ Muggs-produced beat with rhymes as fresh as we’ve heard him spit over more typically Southern boardwork? You’d better believe it; dropping line after line of off-the-wall braggadocio in a heavily-syncopated flow, Catfish Billy impresses yet again. Like what you’re hearing? Keep it locked for more on The Uprising (coming “soon”), as well as, of course, all the latest from Yelawolf.

Very few artists could pull this off without insulting B-Real. Yela does so smoothly and without fear.

I hate to brag - which I don't normally do - but how early were we on this guy? Big things ahead for Yela!

Unadulterated dopeness. Yela always brings the heat and the production on this one is tight. I'm interested in how Yela will transition into the mainstream; I don't see him releasing any radio-burners any time soon. However, as long as his fan base continues to grow, I think it's a safe bet that (with or without success) we can expect a lot more from Yela over the next few years. Banger status.

Yela does a good job on this because of the flow and sick lyrics spit by yela. Good song and good job on his signing.

This man will be the next big thing in hip-hop. Maybe not mainstream, but he'll be up there. The beat on this makes it a banger enough and Yela tears it up on top of that!

Damn Yela keeps climbing higher and higher on my list. Just another extremely impressive record over classic production. His wordplay is absolutely crazy and he does an amazing job of keeping the song feel every single verse.

The more and more I listen to this record the more it is growing on me. Yela keeps on bringing it hard every time. Can't wait to see what he has in store for us next.

Crazy freestyle. I felt he did do justice to Cypress Hill's song, his rhymes always has me rewinding it back to hear what he said again. Another one who's gonna be making big moves in the future.

haha its cooh but thats about it,cause im not amazed stunned or excited about this track. and i shouldnt have too be, because this free verse freestyle ive just heard is a taste of the amazing tracks produced by this artist i only hope interscope is a stepping stone to greater things and doesnt hinder his artistic ability. hes going places and im glad i jumped in this ride along time ago so shout outs too dj booth for giving this Arkansas native this stage too shine.

Did I catch a Dumb and Dumber reference?? Kudos for that.

The bass line is absolutely the heart of the beat (forgive the pun), but Cypress Hill fans already know that. It sounds like an upright bass-and I'm a sucker for lines like the one in this track.

Yela drops line after killer line backed up by the minimalist beat, and I was nodding my head to it. I can't wait to here more. Fans of ole school stuff are gonna dig this, and this track might just convert some newcomers.

Give it a go. And congratulations to Yelawolf! That's great news.

God damn. Clicking on the Play Now button, I did not expect this. Yelawolf is good, but I didn't know he was this good. Haha seriously though, Yela destroyed this track.

The first minute is so tight. Gonna be on the lookout for this man.

Yela comes at this with an ounce of hesitation. Props for the no-fear attitude.

I sincerely thank the booth for introducing me to Yela before mainstream gets their ears blessed.

Congrats on the signing

Nice Track. New sound for Yela but I like it. Still bumpin' Good to Go and Pop the Trunk. Glad to see he finally got picked up by Interscope--its going to be interesting to see a collab from him and Em. Richard - Yela is from Gadsden Alabama not Arkansas.

Yela's internet hype really did seem to start here at djbooth.net, good ears Z and the rest of the crew.

To this track, Yela sounded right at home over the production. Its not often you here another rapper sound right at home over Cypress Hill songs, props to Yela for that.

I wouldnt mind hearing a collaboration between Yela & Cypress Hill in the future.

First of Yela has a flow that would work in any decade of rap and he shows this on this Classic Cypress Hill joint. His wordplay is exceptional and gets your head nodding like yu got a twitch. I'm really happy for him and his interscope deal and really think he has a future if he doesnt let the hype get to him -->Drake. Dude is nice and the production is obviously

It was catchy in the beginning but there isn't enough bass. Also, the background screeching got annoying after a minute. I like Yela's lyrics also on this one.

Hot! His flow is so unique. Hip Hop needs this. The Beat is crazy. Even though its got an old skool sound, it still sounds very current because of the way he flows on it.

How can Yela come out of nowhere with such a great flow like that?!
Worse, how dare him be white and not leave room for Eminem comparisons?! :s Who does he think he is? :p

I remember very well not a long time ago thinkin twice if I should "waste my time" listening to this guy and commenting... it seems he got a deal before I finished that thought! =)

One of my favorite newcomers (J. Cole, B.o.B...)

nice, yela has yet to disappoint me. it will be interesting to see if his music takes a new direction now that hes signed. as it is/was, i dont necessarily think his music is for everyone. if interscope tries to give him a wider appeal, hopefully it wont stifle his talent/creativity/style.

It ok. Im not crazy over it. I feel like a lot of the lines and punches he paired up throughout the track were a little predictable. Overall, it wasn't bad, it just didn't give me that warm-fuzzy, n'mean?
