The most-employed boast in rap music today can be summed up in three words: I Get Money. To nail that point home a little further, last year featured three artists (Lil’ Flip, Rick Ross, and of course 50 Cent) who flat-out titled their singles “I Get Money.” Bringing some ’08 freshness to the topic is San Francisco-native Ya Boy, who uses the old-fashioned “I hustle product” to help describe his healthy and growing bankroll. Adding some kaboom is fellow West Coaster, Eastwood (who hails from Inglewood); bold enough to say he’d still be “fly” even if he was broke. With a Meech Wells and The Soul Mechanix‘ violin beat (knock knock, Dr. Dre), this I Get Money tale is placed together as tight as a rubber band around a stack of dough.
First of all...How can someone just take the title of someone else's song that came out within the last 6 months (50-cent)? The song is totally different though. I think the flow is pretty good also. The beat really knocks and I wouldn't mind listening to it a second time...Rotation
its okay! but dude know he's gonna get clicks on this when he sells it ovet the net because it will be there with the one by 50 , and people like would just think its a remix and download it lol!
smart friggin crook lmao!!!!!!!
Not the best song by any means, but the guy has potential. Give him a minute to mature his sound and he can make the radio for sure. You can check out his debut Mixtape(produced by his longtime posse DIGITAL PRODUCT) for free: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=4650429&blogID=315720580
I would def give him a second listen
Who cares what the title is people. I don't have a problem with songs about money. Everyone needs money, it's a perfectly legitimate topic and can be really motivational. Regardless, this song is not that good.
Ya Boy could have done more with this. He seems like lately he has been trying to dumb down his lyrics and shit so people will take more notice, but we love your random ass ranty flow, don't give it up, stay ORIGINAL!!!
