Piz Corleone

Y1 may make this hip-hop sh*t look easy, but his daily existence isn’t always sunshine and roses. On a brand new promo cut, making its world premiere right here in the Booth, the Baltimore buzzmaker reveals that the demands of the hustle have left him cynical and exhausted, spitting, “I Go Through Life unimpressed, high in stress.” While his chronicle of “another day in the life of the young and overlooked,” delivered over Piz Corleone‘s tuneful flip of Diana Ross’s Do You Know Where You’re Going To, doesn’t gloss over the painful aspects of his grind, the artist’s determination to succeed nonetheless shines through every bar. I Go is just one of many bangers slated for inclusion on forthcoming full-length Recreation, which is scheduled for independent release July 4. In the meantime, why not take a listen to Y1’s last Booth feature, 2012’s Rich Man and the Pauper?
