If there’s one trait common to those who make it to the top, it’s likely the inability to ever achieve complete satisfaction.  On the latest record off his forthcoming Everybody’s Nobody mixtape, XV acknowledges that whether you’re talking about cars, women, or musical success in general, “...there’s always Something Better.”  Like the mixtape’s previously-featured title track, this record showcases the Wichita native as a canny observer of the game, and two thirds of How Low trio Tanya Morgan also jump on board to provide some sharp insight into just what it is that drives the ambitious individual ever upward.  Complete with a catchy, sampled beat by illMind, Something Better is the perfect anthem for all those who have sacrificed their time, money, and peace of mind for a chance at success.  Everybody’s Nobody is set to arrive sometime this month, and fans should check back next week for XV’s contribution to the DJBooth.net Freestyle Series.

:) I wish I could smile harder. You guys know XV is my Favorite rapper. This has a smooth, real rap, to it. More grown man music if you get what i mean... I still love it though.

The sampled beat is a good idea but I feels it gets in the way of the lyrics. His lyrics are good and I like the chill production. The hook is strong and I like the energy he brings to it. I can throw it in rotation

Not a fan of the production, though i thought XV was able to rise above it & deliver a good performance with the mic. Ive been a fan of XV's ever since I heard A Girl Name Destiny, so I usually have high expectations from him.
I thought the hook was pretty solid as well

I gotta say that I respect XV for spitting verses that make him sound like just a common dude, not tryin to sound like some glorified version of a hustler, gangsta, or whatever else is "in" nowadays...

XV spits nice on here, but it does sound slightly off over this production. I like this production, just not for his flow/voice.

Aussie Pride is right on this one, XV's lyrics/flow never dissapoint, but the production wasn't his best. I like his fun tracks over these kind, but it still gets a 4 star knock.
