Booth regulars know that XV is far from your average rapper, but few could have guessed how unusual he really is—on this unreleased track, making its world premiere right here in the Booth, the Kansan buzzmaker makes the startling revelation that he’s been aging backwards a la Benjamin Button. Okay, he isn’t literally getting younger (which is sort of a shame, since he could’ve held the distinction of being the only rapper to add a “Lil’” to his stage name); as he explains over Bach Logic‘s upbeat, string/vocal sample accompaniment, the transition from selling drugs to collecting flashy toys simply makes it seem that way. Mayday and Chris Reg of New Jersey duo M.A.S.H. complete the picture, reliving their early years and reminiscing about the people and places they’ve left behind in nostalgic middle and closing bars. Though this track’s not currently slated for inclusion on any forthcoming project, its quality speaks for itself; packed with lyrical insight, this wistful meditation on youth and the inexorable march of time is sure to be a Booth blockbuster.

I don't think there's ever been an XV song that I didn't enjoy. I can't wait for his Album.
Great Concept. I've listened to every mixtape of XV's that I could find. And in his earlier ones, it was way more "Street" than it is now. But then it slowly faded away. Anyway, The production is Sick! Flow was right! All 3 did their thing... |

The production caught my attention super quick! M.A.S.H snapped too. This is one of the hottest records I've ever heard from X.V. Classic.
As a matter of fact, I'm going to go ahead and say that it is that best record I've heard from X.V. |

Ah, man, dunno if this was the best X.V. track I've EVER heard (latest mixtape has some sick, sick songs). However, both he and M.A.S.H. killed this. Love the production, love the idea. Great record.

EACH and EVERY time XV does a great job of showing his ability to CLEVERLY spit about thought-provoking themes in a new and refreshing way. Last week with "To Do List" and now as he uses this song to recount his life and share personal feelings, touching on losing friends, drug addictions. And as ALWAYS XV does a great job of summing up track’s purpose and feel on hook. Mayday and Chris both drop tight verses as well, handling both rhymes and rhythms with equal ease.

This is the best track ive heard from XV, and maybe even the best track I've heard this year. That beat is so smooth and both MCs come correct. Not to mention the hook catches you. XV, you outdid yourself man.

This is a great song. I've never heard of M.A.S.H. He impressed me on here. Production is good, concept was perfect. I feel like XV may be the next to blow. He's got all the GOOD qualities of a mainstream MC and a new city to "put on the map" Kansas Stand up. You are well represented

Can't say there are very many XV songs I listen to and go "what was he thinking?". Hah, luckily I don't have to worry about saying it here either. Solid song, solid chorus, just solid. This guy is quickly taking over my itunes playlists!

XV just umps the ante everytime he get on the mic. He puts a tremendous amount of effort and thought everytime he produces a track and it def. comes through here. I'm tempted to give this one a classic rating, i've never gave so many classic rating for so many songs, let alone for one artist. But i think XV def. deserves it!
