Xplicit - We Belong Together ft. Erik Vick
Artist: Xplicit
Producer: Midus
Album: TBD
Label: Unsigned
Although Xplicit‘s I Want You with Pleasure P was a hit on the DJBooth, several felt it was also a curse because of the typical “feature outshining the artist” syndrome. Fortunately, Erik Vick is not nearly as well-known, so the 19-year old Miami prodigy snagged Erik up for his newest single, We Belong Together. Not to be confused with Mariah‘s ‘05 megahit of the same name, Xplicit and Erik have more in common with T-Pain‘s breakout hit, admitting they’re in love with a stripper (and “belong together”). Once again, Midus delivers a golden touch with the beat, so while the gift is the same as I Want You, there isn’t as big of a curse. Then again, who knows? Maybe in a while we’ll be featuring Erik Vick solo joints on DJBooth?

The beat on here is pretty good. Its a Banger beat; but Xplicit and Erik Vick don't really "help" the beat in any way. I think we could have had some better or different artists on it to really put it on top. Its OK though.

I agree with Blaze. The song isn't totally bad, though.

They are weak! It's a pity, considering that the beat is super and the chorus is good, too! I think I'll listen to it again, although they are not the best the song is really cool

The overall wow factor, as some of you have alluded to, is missing. With that said, could you find yourself jamming to this? I say yes, and that is mainly due to the solid beat by producer Midus. Xplicit is young though, he has time to mature and develop.

I actually like the song, might not be the next big thing but its real catchy and i can hear this on radio. i heard it twice and the second verse is much better than the first. the beat is sick..i think the hook is a remake from an old freestyle track.

It's not bad, but this beat would serve better featuring someone else. But he wasn't all too bad. Don't think I'll listen to it again though.
