Wyclef Jean’s new album won’t drop in time for Christmas 2009, but he’s been feeling a little generous as of late—in fact, he’s putting on a little weight, donning the red suit and cap, and jumping into a sleigh with flying reindeer to give all the children of the world an early Christmas gift: a brand new mixtape cut! It comes complete with everything fans could ask for—backed droning organ ambiance and a reverb-drenched drum riff, (co-produced by the artist and longtime collaborator Jerry Duplessis), ‘Clef lets all the kids know that he’s back and that he’s not to be confused with any of the Black Eyed Peas (I bet the kid that did that got some digital coal this time around.
