Wyclef Jean’s new album won’t drop in time for Christmas 2009, but he’s been feeling a little generous as of late—in fact, he’s putting on a little weight, donning the red suit and cap, and jumping into a sleigh with flying reindeer to give all the children of the world an early Christmas gift: a brand new mixtape cut! A mild fan of Wyclef but this doesn't do a whole lot for me. The beat is pretty colorless and the flow uninspiring. Not sure if this is the song to introduce yourself to a "new generation."

Clef is a poet and a storyteller. He isn't (and hasn't for a long time) going to spit hard lines or reel off double-time rhymes. The laid back production is not a misstep, but rather a non-distracting complement to his flow. A little more passion in his vocals could have helped, but a great solid track.

It okay you know like Z said before Wyclef haven't spit any hot lines in a long time. Even though he make hits still every now and then. He becoming somewhat forgettable.

I heard this record last week when he released it on his TWITTER!
Wyclef has been one of the G.O.A.T’s for a very long time. This just reaffirms that. I remember that story about some lame yougin thinking he was Will.I.AM on his Twitter a few months ago. “Clef finna surprise and wake some cats up with this new album! Rappers better take cover! I have to STRONGLY disagree with DJZ and some of you others on your opinion. This record alone contained some of the most hottest lines I've ever heard Wycelf spit. Listen to the lyrics y'all! Good stuff! The production is hauntingly awesome! |

I actually like this one. Clef hasn't made many songs that I've felt lately, but this is hot. I like how he approached it as well. His conversation flow is fitting for the mood of the production. Well done

Maybe I am streaming the wrong song but I feel nothing but shades of gray from this track. The production is monotonous and lyrically the song is weak. I expected more from Wyclef.
