From the time that Wyclef Jean‘s single Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill) dropped, anticipation has been widely building for his new album, Carnival II (Memoirs of an Immigrant). While the album track Welcome to the East hasn’t yet leaked, in an unusual turn of events, the remix is upon us. In addition to original guest Sizzla, reggae artist Movado and the Roc’s Uncle Murda provide guest verses; all three describing the hard-knock life of the Coast. In the end, though, it’s Clef’s classical-sounding production that gives this remix a shot at Billboard. Carnival II (Memoirs of an Immigrant) drops December 4th.
"Sweetest Girl" was one of my favorite songs of the summer. Wyclef is really heating it up with the feature guests on this album and I'm not sure if that's going hurt or benefit the entire product. This track has a nice exotic feel to it capable of being thrown into a mix, but it's far from a banger.
I blame the producer for not making this a hit...sorry wyclef, but it's either hit or miss from you, even though everything he brings out will go platinum...
HE SHOULD HAVE USED THA BLAZZE BLAZZE BEAT ALL BY IT SELF WHEN THE EAST IS IN THE HOUSE BEAT . THEN THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A RAPP. THIS IS NOT. THEY SHOULD HAVE KILL THE PRO FOR COMMING UP WITH THIS REMIX .
