As if the Wu Tang Clan hadn’t made enough hip hop history in their storied career, the first single from their new album, 8 Diagrams, hits yet another milestone (more so music in general). The Heart Gently Weeps interpolate the Beatles’ White Album classic (where the guitar is doing the weeping). Accompanied by RZA‘s smooth guitar production and Erykah Badu‘s hauntingly beautiful chorus; Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and Method Man demonstrate that while the hood life can easily make one’s heart weep, eventually you have to rebound and get back to business. Dhani Harrison (George’s son) helped supervise The Heart Gently Weeps and judging from its quality, George is looking down, listening and very proud of how his work was arranged.

If you give this a low rating, you must not listen to much other music besides hip-hop.
GENRE-CROSSING RULES! (I grew up among a bunch of Beatles fans) |

This should have been a ghost solo track. He is the only one that can really ride this type of beat. Rae and Meth are not bad, but they just sound out of place.
This would be a 5 if it was just ghost. |

I am a die hard Wu-Tang fan, as when everyone was bad boyin it up back in 95 i was talkin about liquid swords and cuban linx. But this aint how to comeback, this could have been left as a b-side on the album, not the lead single. dont get me wrong i am estatic that they sample the legendary Geroge Harrison's song(i did the same with "Come Together" ) and to have Dhani on it? thats big.
Also, like everyone said this is Ghost's song. and Finally, wtf is up with meth and these short ass verses, is he really so good that he doen't have to contribute as much as the others? All that aside, WTC Aint Nuttin Ta F**k Wit!! |

Its true, Ghostface does make this song his own. It prolly shoulda been him by himself. Im surprised Raekwon didn't bring the fire like he normally does. Not their best, but it'll be a good addition 2 the album.

~**AEO**~, you probably think the only music in the world is hip-hop.
Maybe it's just because I appreciate all forms of music, but I think it's a classic. |

This is a classic. Groups of this magnitude coming together to smash all boundaries. Hip Hop is my favorite music by far but this song is bigger than the genre. These are two legends of music who not only redifined music, but impacted our culture as well. And stop hatin on Meth he sounds dope on this beat you guys are crazy. They don't need a single for radio play or publicity or anything. Hip Hop evolved from every kind of music that came before it so pay tribute. It's called thinking outside the box, and thats what these guys do best. They've done it all, now its just about making music.

YO! this is hot! think about it, who else coulda made this as hot as it is as Wu Tang did? no one! Meth is a favourite rapper of mine, but he doesn't shine on this as much as Ghostface. Good good tune, nice to hear from them again!

I disagree with DJ Spauhn. A strong ass beat doesn't always make a sonq qood diqq. It's quality of the lyrics, not the beat. one love
