Wordsmith - Park & Ride (The Sunset Edition)
Artist: Wordsmith
Producer: Strada
Album: Vintage Material
Label: Nu Revolution Ent. LLC.
Like other kids his age, a young Wordsmith tried to save his money in order to buy various things. Instead of purchasing action figures or other toys, though, he copped mixtapes from the likes of Nas and Da Bush Babees. Thankful that he was raised at the bosom of hip-hop, the Baltimore rapper is able to sit back and relax in his car as he mulls over his achievements on the new single, Park and Ride (The Sunset Edition). The Strada-produced song described Word’s ideal summer day, spent cruising in his ride and dropping in on a homie’s barbeque. Park & Ride can be found on Wordsmith’s forthcoming debut, Vintage Material, which is due out the first quarter of next year.

Guess it wasn't crunk enough for some people. Anyway, this is decent. The strings on the hook were sort of annoying. Wordsmith's flow is decent as always. This is a mad chill track, but nothing special in my opinion. He's WENT IN harder on his previous releases.

They tried to get a Dilla sound here, and it almost worked, but fell short inches. Wordsmith ripped it up though. I like his smooth hook too. I'd play this!

I love how the beat changes up in the middle and the track transitions into the second part of the record. Creative. The latter beat was more catchy, but I liked Word's rhyming off the top better. Overall, a nice underground single. BD4, good catch on the Dilla mirror.

Alot of people are tripping on here, I'm sorry, all Word's tracks arent posted on here, but these ratings make no sense to me. He is very creative and consistent and I see other artists dropping garbage and people rate it high. Lets actually pay attention to the music quality people...

This is so and so...I have heard worse for sure, but it's kinda boring. I'm feeling his flow but not so much the production. Not that it's bad, but it's not my type at all! I'm feelin the second part of the song anyway, when the beat changes. If the song was with that beat entirely, then I would have probably liked it better. 2,5
