Wiz Khalifa - Remember You
Artist: Wiz Khalifa
Featuring: The Weeknd
Producer: Illangelo & Dpat
Album: O.N.I.F.C
Label: Rostrum/Atlantic/RRP
On Wiz Khalifa‘s newest single, Remember You, the Pittsburgh emcee recruits Canadian crooner The Weeknd, who yearns for remembrance on the song’s hook. With such a unique collaboration the duo will indeed likely be shown listener retention thanks, in part, to the sultry, Illangelo and Dpat-produced track. Although The Weeknd serves as merely the featured artist on the song, the buzzing artist enjoys a solid verse at the start of Remember You and also provides the song with its tantalizing hook. The first half of the record may tell a tale of seduction thanks to the Canadian singer, but Khalifa instead opts for slightly more braggadocious verses as he rhymes focus on spending “so much money on clothes” that he might just have to start making his own. Oh, and for those of you yearning to get your Inspector Gadget on the record supposedly comes with a “special hidden message.” Hopefully, that special message isn’t a new release date since Khalifa’s O.N.I.F.C. album, which is now set for a December 4 release.
Update: The Ryan Hope-directed video for “Remember You” has been added.

Dope record, expect for the fact that at times it feels more like Wiz is featured on a Weeknd track instead of the reverse.

Reminds me of some old school R&B. Wiz didn't really do anything for me, the beat and the Weeknd make this track. Solid

I like this one as a single for Wiz even though the Weeknd outshines Wiz by quite a bit. Sounds like it used to be a Weeknd track and then Wiz took it for himself and threw a verse or two on there. Nevertheless, good way to take advantage of a hot alternative sound.

At first you're annoyed Wiz entered your Weeknd trance, then as it goes along, you thank him for the addition

Really enjoyed this. The Weeknd has such a great sound that I honestly have to replay pretty much every track that I hear from him at least once. Wiz Khalifa did his thing.

Really digging the Weeknd's vocals. The beat was a bit too dark on this for me. Wiz's flow alright, nothing special.

I love the Ginuwine sample but it feels more tailor made for The Weeknd. Wiz Khalifa contribution sound like a slightly less than average rap feature to a R & B song that could stand on its own perfectly.
