Wiz Khalifa - In My Car (Tha Puff Bus)
Featuring: Juicy J
Producer: ID Labs
Album: Unreleased
Label: Rostrum/Atlantic/RRP
The Khalifa man is back: while embarking on his “highly” anticipated Waken Baken tour, Pittsburgh’s Wiz Khalifa hasn’t forgot about the fans that took his buzz from the laptops to the top of the game. After dropping a killer single in Black and Yellow, Wiz is on everybody’s radar; even the incomparable Diddy stopped by to do some signature bopping during the L.A. stop of Khalifa’s tour. Now the young emcee is at it again with a man who’s not only another legend but one of his biggest influences in Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J. In My Car (Tha Puff Bus) was crafted by Wiz’s in-house production team ID Labs (Big Jerm and E. Dan) and sports a hard, soulful, yet bouncy instrumental that allows these two charismatic wordsmiths to deliver what sounds like a “pimp’s anthem.” Colorful lyrics and a smooth melody courtesy of this high-namic duo has put Puff Bus in heavy rotation on the internet these past few days, capped off by the two performing the song live in Vegas. In the words of Wiz: “THAT’S stunting.” Still no official word on an album from Wiz, but it’s only a matter of time.

I have a feeling this record, which has some legs it seems, will bring some much-needed attention to its producer ID Labs. The Juicy J guest feature works well, but I would have preferred to hear Ricky Ross join Wiz.

I first didn't see what the buzz was about Wiz but some of his recent songs, along with this, have caught my ear. He's not lyrical or deep at all but something about him is very charismatic. The production was nice and Juicy made a good pair.
Sidebar: Wiz has passed on joing Drake's tour and signing with Rick Ross' label. So much respect to him for being his own person and independent. |

Wiz killed this on the hook. Juicy's part was okay but there is other people who I feel would have done this better. Nevertheless, four stars for a song that I've been singing for hours on end.

I really don't like it. Production was on point, but lyrics were off somewhere else. I can play it, but it doesn't compare to some of today's better songs.

Taylor Gang or Die! Wiz Khalifa coming through again. Juicy J's part was okay, but I think Wiz could've handled this track all by himself. Gotta respect good music.

Hold right in line with most of the Wiz records I hear. I'm not personally a part of the stoner rap movement, but I can still get down. However, I'm not seeing anyone but the hardcore Wiz fans getting excited over this - in the end it is what it is. A good not great record he threw up to thank the fans.

I like this one it's pretty laid back and chilled. Not classic but I could bump this one right before i head to the club. You right Z I could definately hear Ross on this.

Perfect mix of his style when he FIRST came out and where he's out now. I am definitely feeling this song. Would have preferred Ross or Big Sean on the guest spot though. Even though this is a very Juicy J beat.

Much love for Wiz regardless of whether or not I smoke. Another to add to his growing list of solid cuts.

Well, being from the 412 AND being part of the 'stoner rap movement' I can really dig this track. I honestly liked hearing Juicy J on this. Man I really miss the old Three 6.

This is like a post-modern, hood ass motown intro/chorus...There's a nostalgic quality to this song that reminds me of all that is glorious in any given hood...I know I'd relate even more if I was also on "tha puff bus". I fux with it!
