Roughly twenty years ago, a new genre of electronic dance music began to spring up in Germany called trance. At first it remained confined to underground raves, but it wasn’t long until pioneering DJ’s began to spin their bewilderingly up-tempo, highly melodic beats at venues all over Europe. For some reason, however, it never gained its foothold in the American mainstream. Until now, that is. “Trance-rap” may not be as pure a genre as either of its namesakes, but it’s the next logical step in a globalizing musical community. Wiz Khalifa and his producer, Johnny Juliano, are the torchbearers of the movement. After sampling Alice Deejay on their blowup single, Say Yeah, the Pittburgh duo is back with their new trance-rap single, Make It Hot. Check out more Khalifa on his upcoming album, First Flight.
Beat is tight. Chorus is pretty lame. Too much voice box. Wiz's flow is pretty nice. I hear the resemblance from "Say Yeah". Ditch the chorus and it's pretty decent. 3.5
Yea, you it is similar from "Say Yeah", but that's what the guy's good at, and he does it pretty good, so I'm not hating. Techno-ish sorta mix with Hip >P<op. 3.5.

The man is right-he does Make It Hot. This track is a huge club banger, just like his other stuff. This guy is being slept on, when is he gonna blow up?? I think hes got maddd talent, lovin this song. Lil Wayne needs to take vocoder
lessons from this guy because this song has the perfect placement for it-just briefly in the chorus (as opposed to the whole song). BANGIN track, I better hear this one in the clubs.
I like what this dude did with the first track. takin that trance song and flipin it. This one sounds generic. The beat is good for now I guess, but sounds too much like everything else. I can find 12 songs that sound just like this one! PLEASE STOP WITH THE VOICE BOX HOOKS. WE ARE TIRED OF THEM.
This song could have been a real banger, but I think they'll never stop with this annoying voicebox. Good beat good music, even if the song is nothing original. I'll listen to it again! I like it!
This track is a club banger no questions asked. Wiz is one of the fastest rising guys in the industry. Personally I think the vocoder works great here. These are the kind of tracks it should be reserved for. It plays well into the whole electronic theme. I would like to see what it sounds like maybe with some RnB artist on the hook instead. But you have to think about it this way... it costs a lot of green to get another decent artist on a track to sing the hook. Wiz has only been signed to WB for a year or so now. He's just been getting his feet wet. Gotta give him props.

i aint sayin wiz khalifa is bad but all his beats are techno songs which were already made. this underline beat is sandstorm by darude. but it is still nice fo sho

BANGERR!!! Enough said, i'm luvin this hook, "Yea i am the mann, you know i amm" FIREE!! Very rare i rate a song a 5 without it really having a meaning, but this one breaks that chain for me..
