What more can I say? It’s frickin’ Wiz Khalifa and Too Short. On a Jim Jonsin beat. It’s almost as predictable as the sun shining. But I wouldn’t be a writer if I stopped there, so let’s dig into the details. Wiz Khalifa is the new godfather of marijuana-cultured music and here Mr. Black & Yellow gives the public some new sights and sounds with On My Level, featuring the Godfather of the Bay Area. Vocally the two can almost be mistaken as a father and son duo with their similar intonations, and lyrically they supply the expected grandiose rants of porno-fied sexcapades and sloppy scenes of liquor chugging and weed smoking. Lots of it. It’s all over heavily synthesized production from Jonsin, who drops a slow banger made to rattle a Chevy on 28” wheels. A song for the ultimate hedonist, any fan of debauchery, Wiz or Too Short will enjoy On My Level on various degrees. In the words of Russell Crowe, and Diddy, “Are you not entertained!?!” Check for this, along with the recently released Roll Up, on Wiz’s upcoming album, Rolling Papers, set for release on March 29.

This song first appeared on the Rap Chart on February 7, 2011

As a supporter of Wiz Khalifa for many years (try 8, buster!), I feel like I have always been on his level. However, I cannot I've felt the same away about these last two featured records (see "Roll Up"). They are not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but they are disappointing to say the least.

Don't understand the hate from "The5JAY13". No it's not Wiz's best but it's definitely not garbage. It has a sick ass beat, and a catchy hook. Just step it up next time Wiz.

4 stars for the beat alone, this track is hard.

I've always been a fan of relentlessly bass heavy beats, especially when they flow like molasses. Jim Jonsin delivers on all accounts. This is the kind of beat you can barely hear, but you can definitely feel it.

But, the rhymes are forgettable. This is going to be fantastic for when you need a breather at the club - slow and steady.

This beat is so tight. But Wiz doesn't do anything special on it. I feel like a faster rapper would have sounded awesome on this.. something similar to Yelawolf on 'Wanna Party' or Busta on 'Look At Me Now'

This isnt a radio single but dam if this isnt dope. Production from Jonsin is sick (probably the best ive heard this year). Wiz wasnt brilliant but i really dug the hook. I would of prefered someone else on the guest verse then Too Short, just seems like ive heard the exact same verse from him before.

4.5 - Mainly due to the dope beat

Im a fan of Wiz, but this beat is too sick for him. Im not saying he is whack on it, but he doesnt switch up his flow AT ALL. Like wrecked said, busta or yela would have killed it. Id also throw KRIT and Fashawn on it.

Much respect to Too Short as well, but he really doesnt do the beat justice either.

Even so, this is a banger.

Yeah, Jim's dark beat is super-dope.

Mediocre rhymes. 'Roll Up' is more radio-friendly, I'd say. I'm with Wreck em on this one: I think a fast-flow rapper would kill this kinda beat.

I hope he made this on tour and it was really rushed. Wiz (to me atleast) isn't a star because of his lyrics, but because of his energy. This is totally wack. too short complimented the track in comparison to the disgust Wiz recorded. Don't take this the wrong way, i love a lot of Wiz's songs, just this one seems way out of character.

Far from garbage...perhaps you have be on his level to feel this track. I didn't really like it at first but after watching the video, I fully agree with ReturnofSanta...the video does it some justice.
I can't wait for a Nipsey and Wiz track. I don't know about father and son comment but they made a good laid back track with a sick beat that's like an old skool west coast track.

I know the bar is set really high for Wiz, but I think the feedback here is a bit harsh. This isn't his best song, and it won't change the music industry, but it's got a heavy beat and brings back that Too Short creep flow that I know everyone has missed. They both ride the beat nice and it sounds great in the ride. Good look.

I never thought Wiz was all that great, but he never tried to be either. He is just himself, weed smoking youngster. You can hear it in his laugh.

So taking G.O.A.T. out of mind, this track bangs. The production is good and Wiz's hook is catchy (just like Roll Up).

Looks like Rolling Papers is going to be the next Thank Me Later in terms of how hotly its debated in the hip-hop community.

Speaking just on this track, I don't have the highest expectations for Wiz musically, so I thought it was fine. Nothing to get worked up about either way.

Though yes, you could play the "which rapper would have done this better?" game all day.
