Considering everyone and their mother has done a freestyle over Wiz Khalifa’s breakthrough smash Black & Yellow – seriously, my mom f**king killed that beat – it’s only right that the main man himself has finally supplied the official remix…excuse me, G-Mix. Joining the Khalifa man over Stargate’s instantly recognizable beat (that’s right, two Swedish dudes created that banging and sparkling beat) are purple and yellow proponent Snoop Dogg, who contributes a minimal, relaxed verse, Three 6 co-founder Juicy J, who’s apparently “a bumblebee light up like a Christmas tree,” and the god of auto-tune T-Pain, who easily delivers the song’s most entertaining section, followed by Wiz closing out the festivities with a typically smoky, though remarkably swaggish, brand new verse. Even with such high profile additions I’m frankly not sure it’s better than the original, for me the G-Mix actually dilutes the simple and catchy appeal of Black & Yellow, but I’m sure that’s a point DJBooth Nation is debating as we speak in the comments below. Sadly, after 5 million unofficial remixes and freestyles, I am sick of this song. Props to Wiz, though, for creating a catchy record that everyone tried to copy/spit over and eventually tire of. That isn't easy to do and he managed to do it... and in record time, too.
Big Snoop fan, but I would have hand-picked a better crop of guest features. Hopefully this G-Mix gets added at stations who (stupidly) didn't pick up the original version, which leads to another bump in spins and a climb up the charts.

Yea, there's been way too many remixes and freestyles to this. Personally i think that T-Pain's solo freestyle is the best. I actually like his version of the hook.

I must have like 20 different versions of Black & Yellow on my Ipod.
I liked Snoop Dogg and T-Pain verses, yet this wasn't the best remix/freestyle. |

Ugh another remix...... c'mon. I remember when the original first came out. I loved it..... for like 10 mins. Lol, it got annoying soooo fast. And then everyone descides to make a remix of this. And when i say "everyone" im serious. I know a bunch of ppl that have dreams of being something in the game. And they all relied on this beat. And im just like "c'mon this is bad!!!". I dont understand why this got so famous..... I a fan of Wiz, and always will be. Even tho i have heard hundreds of remixs of this, this is a good one. A banger for me. But i wont be listening to it ever again.

I liked the original song, and I liked just about every remix that has come out. The beat or chorus doesn't get tired to me. Snoop put it down on here and T-Pain ripped it! Juicy J was just ok... Banger.

The original was a classic...this is not quite as good but it is a great song, and I am glad to see Juicy J rappin again, i dont care about you haters not likin three 6, i have liked them for the past few albums, yeah they got cocky after there Oscar, but overall still like them...so back to this song, really like, T-Pain still doin it and Wiz, I look forward to your album!!
