Willy Northpole - Ghetto Tour Guide
Artist: Willy Northpole
Producer: Bangladesh
Album: Tha Connect
Label: Disturbing Tha Peace/Def Jam
In his exclusive interview with our own DJ Z, Phoenix, Arizona up-and-comer Willy Northpole explained that, though many associate his hometown with endless deserts and golf courses, it’s also home to some of our nation’s most treacherous hoods. On this new street leak, Northpole acts as Ghetto Tour Guide, describing the sights and sounds that denizens of Phoenix’s mean streets and of inner-city areas across the globe experience on the day-to-day. Over A Milli beatsmith Bangladesh‘s string-sampling instrumental, he points out such tourist attractions as drug deals, gang shootouts, and pimp-prostitute altercations. What listeners will either love or hate about this cut is that the emcee gets really into his “nerdy tour guide” role, adopting the goofiest accent I’ve heard since… well, since Eminem‘s last feature—regardless, there are some very funny lines here, and the record showcases a satirical streak that wasn’t evident in Northpole’s previous features. For more of the rapper’s many styles, pick up a copy of Tha Connect when it hits stores June 30th.

It was cool. Got a couple laughs, but ultimately I can't see myself listening to this very much. His voice was so weird and it is nowhere close to being as good as "Hood Dreamer" (which is a legit track). I know a lotta people will like it, but it's not for me.

Not as good as Hood Dreamer, but the tracks still reasonably solid. The beat from Bangladesh was decent (I dont think he'll ever be able to make another A Milli) & Willy NP came with a couple of good lines that got me laughing, Rotation

LOL... I Rutta, if I have something on for a week that means its a HIT. I agree.
Shows Willy is diverse as an emcee and a storyteller (which is something not many emcees do these days). |

I like this. BAN@ @ot a smooth one here. Willy bro@ht a creative concept to this track, and that is rare. I @ive him as star for that alone. This beat needs to be remastered in my opinion, other than that this is on point.

I lol'ed several times during this. VERY solid track. Hopefully it's not a single but it's definitely a strong album track. "Hood Dreamer" and "Body Marked Up" are both legit tracks. Willy is on my radar.

I was already hyped up for this after readin Z's updates on Twiiter ... & this is far from disappointment ...
I dont have a problem with gangsta music, I just like it to be creative and talented. This is JUST THAT ... The adaptation of styles in his flow was jus too creative ... However it could've used more bang in it ... CERTIFIED HEAT!!! |

Wow this is much more than I was expecting. I was thinking it was gonna be another "i own the hood, blah blah blah" bs track, he came true on this. This song is clever as hell, anything less than 4 is an injustice.

"dont talk to that man, he's blacker than batman", "sperm donator" lol willie brings alot of humor on this track(intended or not this ish made me laugh)...def alot more then i expected even though willy's been on my radar for quiet some time...beat was pretty lame though, i was expecting alot more from bangladesh...3.5 stars though
@richard...willy's accent wasnt nearly as goofy as EM's...dont think anyone's will be, even thought the new accent just bugs me |

LMAO I hope there's a video to this song. If so, this song will receive legendary (bypass the "Classic") status immediately, on the spot, no questions asked.
Started off boring and vapid, but ended strong. 3.5 Stars |

I'd be very surprised if Luda didn't come up with this concept cuz itz hot. The production is too repetitive though and there was a few great opportunities for a beat change-up or something. Overall gets a 3 but with a bit of re-worked boardwork could easily be a 4.

This is just a great concept that he went all out wit. I thought it was funny the way he changed his voice and flow for it. The production was nice, but it was kinda boring. This gets Banger status for the concept and subject matter.

I think this track has a wonderful music plus he sounds cool, but I wouldn't listen to it again. It's difficult for me to follow his flow, so the song gets repetitive quickly. As I'm not anglosaxon I can't fully appreciate this!

WOW. Thats all I have to say this was a deep and sarcastic look at society today. And Willy was very creative and quirky to come up with a concept like this. I don't usually do this but a concept like this derserves it. 5 stars!!
