Last Tuesday, when “Yes, we can” officially became “Yes, we DID!” Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am knew that he had to declare “It’s A New Day.” In honor of the monumental event, the artist/producer created this united-we-stand track, which originally premiered last week on Oprah to rousing approval and applause. In celebration of Barack Obama becoming the President-Elect, this uplifting ditty provides a fitting soundtrack to the ideals of hope and progress. Though It’s A New Day is a promo single unattached to any album release, it will continue to resonate for as long as the realization of a black President in office takes to settle in. Ignited like so many others by the “Yes, we can” mantra, will.i.am makes another statement with this potential Obama inauguration song.

Its a shame that a truly talented artist like will.i.am can write, produce and record a terrific Obama dedication song, and in just the week since the historic moment, those who rode coat tails for months don't seem to care anymore.
Great record. Political affiliations aside, you cannot deny a well-made song.

The intro was mad nice! It does seem a tad rushed, but who cares. The message is awesome and this is one of the greatest things I've heard from Will.I.Am and period for that matter. I hope hip hop artists take a new interest in patriotic songs and being proud to be an American.

Will-I-Am IS THE TRUTH! I always liked him and his beats and his group. This is an EXCELLENT song with an EXCELLENT message! It is indeed a NEW DAY...OBAMA BABY! This is definitely DJ BLAZE BANGER status just from the message!

Sorry Will I was late on ya track. You are one of my favorite artist. I don't see much of you on the booth though? You know what I wanna see, Pharrell and Will do a colab album , their styles would vibe so well together. That is beautiful music waiting to be created. It is a new day. I'm diggin this one!
