Since 1998, Slip-N-Slide Records has helped to give Florida an identity in the hip-hop scene; starting with artists such as Trick Daddy and Trina, only to later become Rick Ross and Plies. The newest talent to join the label is Orlando’s Wes Fif, who is known for his feature on the original version of B.o.B’s club hit, Haterz Everywhere We Go. On the new song, Wasting Your Time, Wes channels a similar mind state to Plies’ Shawty, telling the story of a female who always feels better around him than she does her man. Aside from the futuristic beat, the highlight is fellow Orlando artist Eliseo (of local group Treal) and his usage of a voice box from T-Pain’s studio. With all this going for it, there’s no reason Wasting Your Time shouldn’t make Wes Fif the next strong cab on the Slip-N-Slide Express.
Slip n slide straight kills it, all their artists are hot shit. Hes kinda got that plies flow but a very different tone of voice and less mumbling. Shits hot Florida's got the rap game goin on recently, THEYY TAKKKIN OVAA
I really can't put my finger on it, but I don't like this song. I'm not feeling the lyrics which are so stereotypical; and the beat sounds like something we heard again. I guess its not garbage, but just done to death. I would have rather heard T-Pain himself on this one.
Wes Fif has been hanging around for a while without too much love outside of Florida. Can this be it? And on the side... who wants to start a pool on when T-Pain's vocoder fad will end? I am taking July.
I don't think this is the one DJ Z. I actually agree w/ DJ Blaze on this one, there is nothing that really stands out about this song. It would get more love if he had a big-name feature artist on the hook.
man wes fif been holdin it down for a minute..im diggin this track..right here..tho..i think it'll do good..juz like his other song "i love it baby"

This remix adds almost nothing to the original, which was fine the way it was. The vocoder will fade by the end of the year. I wonder what T-Pain thinks about everyone using it because I remember him saying that only R. Kelly and Chris Brown were the only people that he is okay with using it.
Being an upcoming artis in Orlando is hard but Wes fif has done a good job marketing himself to get a record deal. So has treal. The song is solid but it has a redundant sound to it. I fee like wes fif could put out better content then this song.
I dunno this is a pretty catchy song but is it really different than anything else? This rapper really just uses cliches and does not have anything that sets him above the pack. This basically IS shawty by plies.
The chorus is the only thing that saves it.
