In L.A. the car is king. Not only do Angelenos consider their cars manifestations of themselves, it’s impossible to navigate the city without four wheels and a motor. So if you’re forced to cruise the streets on a bike because, for example, your license has been taken away from repeated D.U.I.’s, you’re at a sizable disadvantage – unless you’re Wax. Like seemingly all things in his Scrublife, the L.A. based emcee approaches his motor vehicle disadvantage with a spirit of adventure and, of course, continued alcoholism. In typical Wax fashion the production on potential single Two Wheels is stripped down and impossible to dislodge from your brain once it’s stuck there; this time around we can thank Finatic & Zac, along with Jim Jonsin, for the honors. But of course it’s the headliner himself who makes Two Wheels truly work, embedding the track with defiant rhymes that also occasionally veer into hilarity. If you didn't download "Scrublife" I urge you to do so right now. Why? Because records like "Two Wheels" are the beginning of something special for Wax. His pop leanings don't make him corny in any way and he can actually spit - no gimmicks. Catchy and fun.

Wax never cease to amaze me. Have loved this guy since his first youtube video. Glad he has made it so far. This beat will have your head nodding and the next thing you know you're singing along to the chorus. Classic Wax, a somewhat silly topic but laced with great lyrics and story telling that make it amazing. The guy could rap a story about anything and make it a hit.

Well... I expected so much more from this song. Wax came with a creative story, but this beat was suprisingly not good to me. I guess I expected something different from the likes of Jim Jonsin, Finatic, and Zac. I didn't think the instruments used to make the beat were good choices. It was just a little to stripped-down. If its gonna be minimal, what you've got left has gotta have something to wow you. The beat sounded average, and it sort of ruined a possibly decent song for me.

Ever since I heard Wax's Vibe beat contest submission, I've been hooked. This dude is so talented, he has an incredible to change up his style and make it work. Also, you can really sense how much fun he has rapping. His lyrics are always incredible, he can make you laugh, but still has great flow. This isn't my favorite track off of "Scrublife" but it's still a fun listen.
