On the viral smash lead video single off Wax‘s forthcoming debut album, the DMV native and comedian filled us in on his romance with Rosana, a dime piece whose beauty is only matched by her insatiable libido. What, could possibly go wrong with this scenario, you ask? As he reveals on the follow-up (the artist’s first feature since wrapping up his DJBooth/Earmilk-exclusive Unplugged series), the honeymoon period officially ended when he saw that she’d left her Toothbrush at his place. Over Greg Wells’ bouncy, keyboard-driven production, the artist laments his girl’s eagerness to invade every corner of his life, and expresses his concern that the relationship’s moving a little bit too fast. Casey Chan once again sits in the director’s chair, creating a comedic visual accompaniment to the artist’s bars. Wax’s official freshman set, Continue…, is scheduled to drop independently January 15. In the meantime, fans can still download his previous projects, Eviction Notice and Scrublife, for free in The DJBooth.

Highly entertaining affair from Wax. I loved "Rosana" a little more, but this direction suits him well and is the bedrock for his loyal fanbase's attraction to his work.

Has wax ever made a bad track? His versatility is amazing, he can do any style of song that will be appreciated by a different audience. His ability to be funny but still be taken serious is a difficult balance to reach, but he has mastered it.

The live series by Wax was dope and now the real tracks from the album sound great. Good music with universal appeal once again. Nice work. 3.5 out of 5...

I went in thinking I knew how the track would sound just by looking at the album cover. I was pleasantly surprised. This song is catchy and the music video/lyrics are funny. I was diggin the beat change about 3min into the track!

I really do enjoy listening to Wax on occasion. His whole persona is just very comical, but at the same time he has plenty of talent when it comes to making songs like this. Didn't know what to expect when I hit play, but walking away I'm very happy with the end result.

Wax has an uncanny ability to make songs/videos that nearly anyone can relate to. The video is amazing! And that chic is absolutely stunning.

Wax' style is unique, entertaining and usually highly enjoyable. This isn't his best work, but another decent addition.
