On September 29, West Coast icon Warren G will show the industry that G-funk ain’t dead with the release of his sixth studio album, The G-Files.  Though the club-oriented Swagger Rich (which picked up mixed reviews on the Booth) was chosen as the project’s lead single, that pulse-pounding track isn’t an accurate indication of what listeners will find on the forthcoming LP. What would be a better example of Warren G’s style, you ask?  Try newly-leaked cut 100 Miles & Runnin’. Warren’s slow flow and mid-tempo piano beat, along with fellow LBC native and longtime collaborator Nate Dogg‘s hook, should add up a hit with our resident Left-Coasters, and Northeastern icon Raekwon the Chef adapts to the track’s sound with greatest of ease. Now, aren’t you glad that tragic East Coast/West Coast war is behind us?

Damn it feels good to hear Nate Dogg on a hook again. Raekwon sounded real nice over this beat. All 3 of them sound like they been puttin it down for years together. Just for how well it was put together I give it a 5.

Great to hear Nate Dogg on here. Warren G sounded great on his own beat, and Raekwon ripped this track.

Welcome back Nate the Great! This is a good look right here. All these cats still got it. Warren hit um with a King beat right here. I'm not used to hearing Rae on west @*#$!, but he killed it! Love it!

This is more like it. That other cut, "Swagger" was watever ... Warren G has a much better flow on this as his voice goes with the beat ... Slammin' West Coast production on this one. And I always appreciate a Nate Dogg hook ... plus Raekwon styles on this sh*t quite well, comfortably spitting rhymes over this beat and finishing the song in a good fashion ... 3.5

I couldn't help but smile when I heard Nates voice creep along the sinister synths...Then the Chef and the G-Child spit some hot hot verses! This is so much better than that Swagger track.
