Wale - Pretty Girls (Remix)
Artist: Wale
Featuring: Chris Brown , Fabolous
Producer: Best Kept Secret
Album: Attention: Deficit
Label: Board Administration/MMG/Warner Bros.
Finally, a big-league remix of one of my favorite songs of 09-10. Wale keeps his fans’ Attention as he recruits remix king Fabolous and the mechanical dummy Chris Brown for a Best Kept Secret-produced remake of the D.C. rapper’s second single. I can’t say I’m mad at this one at all, especially when Fab is letting loose bars like a freed prisoner; i.e., “Last night I had so much free bubbly that I / let one suck me and she caught a DWI.” As for Chris Breezy, he does his new sing-song rap garble before hitting a few cool notes. Translation: if his name wasn’t so big, the song could’ve done without Mr. Brown. Oh and as for the star of this show, Wale? He is up to his usual wittiness, using the song to tell the ladies that he’s looking for someone who has “brain so good that she went and got a bachelor,” and can “make him do a Tiger Woods to come back for his masters.” That line alone makes this worth the listen.

Above, Quentin wrote: "Finally, a big-league remix of one of my favorite songs of 09-10." I couldn't agree more.
I would have rather heard another emcee (Cudi? Phil Ade?) in place of Chris Brown, but his catchy sing-songy lines should make radio re-eat this up. Props to BKS for the dope production work, as this is by far the catchiest song on Wale's debut. Argue with me - please. I love a good verbal joust. |

Wow, what a great remix. A great line-up even if I would rather have more of a rapper not a singer instead of Chris. Still lovin' the original and this is just as great.

I'm loving this one right here. I actually enjoyed Brown's input on this. Hopefully this is the radio hit that Wale needs to help launch him into the mainstream.
My only beef on this one would have to be that Fabolous sounds like he slept through his verse. Lyrically, he comes with some nice lines but his flow is just lacking the energy put forth by Brown and Wale. Personally, I would have loved to hear Big Boi on this; a track like this is right up his alley. |

the original was B.O.M.B IM ONLY INTRESTE ON HOW THEY CHOOSE TOO TOP IT.
i know this is dumb but have an of yall seen the music video were at the end the cast joins in on the chorus, it those little things that make this song shine. (and he did it again at the end of this track although not too the same extent) anyways still loving the beat and the clap while he spits is niceeee it has you follow through the ryhmes so thats a nice touch. i like that solo part wen the beat chimes down and he gives a shout out to minaj ayyyy this has been a favorite of mines for awhile and this guy is exceptional wow digging everything im hearing so far is great. i like how fabulous gives a shout too wales flow in his cut up rhythm that was a nice touch. 4 spins for me, a great song all around, definitly not gonna be lettin my shuffle do the picking for me cause i know exactly which track(s) to play its just a matter of which one imma pick first???(the original or the remix)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Original was hot. Chris Breezy was only good when he sang, the rap part at first wasn't that good. FABOULOUS KILLLED IT! THATS what makes this song a 5 star for me.

The original should of been a hit, hell all of the singles should of been. This is even better than that though, Wale and Fab both killed it with some crazy punchlines. Like Quentin already wrote “make him do a Tiger Woods to come back for his masters"-that's some crazy shit. Chris was not needed but Wale and Fab were so dope, he couldn't of ruined it. Props to Best Kept Secert for changing the beat, like a real remix should be too.

Personally, i enjoyed Chris Breezy's addition on here. Wale kills it like usual, and Fab was sick like he always is on remixes.
Had high expectations, definitely met them. |

So much So Much So Much...can I say it once more SO MUCH better than the original.
Glad Wale gave us new ish, Chris brings that special touch and Fabolous just rips it! Not much else to say, I hope this brings Wale new fans also. |

I really wish Loso would tear up his album like he does his mixtapes and features. His albums always seem so commercial and poppy. I loved this song when I first heard it last year, and now I have another reason to revisit Wale's debut.

Just looking at the title I could tell I was not going to be dissapointed. The original is an amazing song and when you add someone like Fab to a track, you need he is going to bring his A game. Lets go through this by each artist.
Chris Brown - Ayiyi, I feel like he could have done MUCH better one this one. Easily the weakest contributor to this track. Could have put a no-name artist on his part and they would have had the same impact if not better. Wale - This guy is just a beast and he shows why on his verse. Every time I hear him spit I just keep looking forward to his next track. He did this remix right, and we all know how some people like to just turn out remixes like its no ones business (I'm looking at you Busta). Fabolous - He really has to be the best punchline artist in the game right now. I want to get shirts made with all his classic one liners on it. The best verse on this one for sure and thats saying a lot of Wale. Fab, keep it coming because we need more in the game like you. If not for Breezy, it would be a five. |

Anyway Z your wrong my friend, "Chillin" was the catchiest song on AD. |

im prejudiced against Chris Breezy because of you know what but i appreciate music and he did a solid enough of job and i kinda agree with with Quentin about not really needing him.
Wale is the dude. I am a bigg bigg fan of this dude. “brain so good that she went and got a bachelor... call me Tiger Woods ill be back for my masters." is like some crazy ass line. like really did his head hurt from thinking about that line. and Fab is always a good look for a remix verse. he seems to crave remixes more than he does normal joints. he doesnt disappoint of course and finishes off the track with his cool nonchalant flow. ill give this a 4.5 good shit |

Now if this was the original, I can guarentee this track would of gotten more love on radio, especially if C.Brown was on the hook instead of having a verse (I dont think he did a bad job, though it was probably the weakest verse).
Loso is a remix killer, sick flow & some sick punchlines (he makes the best punchlines in hip hop). Wale held his own against Loso, I thought the line 'I like them all shades, all races, all figures' interesting. His video for the original was criticised by some writers(im looking at you nathan) for only featuring black chicks. That line just stood out for me for that fact. Dope remix, I enjoyed this more then the original. 4.5 |

@yubu8 and @djz i reckon yubu is right on this one, pretty girls is insanely catchy and wale's contributions on both tracks are inseperable but what makes world tour the catchiest track is jazmine sullivan over gucci mane. she is the deciding factor in the matter in my opinion.
down to this song... im a cb fan so i really enjoyed the energy he brought to this song, fabo dropped some dope lines as always and wale was the best i thought. great remix! |

I beg to differ Z...Breezy went hard (lol never thought id say those words). He started this off with some energy. From there on Wale and Fabo carried the torch and lit this track UP. Am I the only one who caught the McNabb referance?
This is easily my favorite feature today. |

I am not feeling Chris Brown's entrance at all until he actually started to sing...As DJ Z someone else would have suited much better in Chris Brown's place. Other then that I am a huge fan of this remix! Wale always is greatness and Fabolous seems to be stepping up his game more and more everytime I hear him. Loso seems to be on more tracks then I've seen in a while. Replacing Chris Brown would make this a banger for sure!

Damn, I loved the original off his album, but the remix just blows that one out of the water.
Chris Brown did his thing. I actually really enjoyed the beginning part with him, especially when he started singing. The man has got one hell of a voice thats for sure. Fabolous isn't any where near being called one of my favorite artists, but he seems to always be able to hold his own on remixes. Then with that said and done, you have Wale. Definitely one of the better Mcs in the game. I actually prefer his verse over everyone elses. This Remix is the shit. |

This is definitely a much needed look for an artist that I feel is definitely underated. Wale is a solid emcee.
This was most definitely a great 09-10 song and this remix just took it to another level. I def agree with Z though...Phil Ade would have been my prime pick seeing that they are both DMV elites. Chris Def did his thing though |

Wale is just DOPE, Fab destroyed his verse, and C Breezy killed it. I'm a little impressed wit CB and this rapping thing, ofcourse he's just an Okay rapper, but he's better than some of these wack rappers out and his mixtape In My Zone is FIRE! This track is on repeat!

Call me Tiger Woods, I'll be back from the Masters! Hot line, not referring to his "transgressions. Wasn't a big fan of the original, but this is HOT. Chris Brown hits it off nice with nice vocals. Wale was hot and Fab topped it off with hot wordplay.

"From your head to your cuticles..."
??? Anyways, this is a solid remix. I still like the hook, although the synth horns still annoy me a bit. And I do think Chrissy did a good job, besides that monotone spitting at the beginning. Putting aside all the drama, he adds some radio-ready flair to the track. For those who aren't fans of that gentleman, the rest of the verses are strong enough to warrant a listen. Wale's rhymes in particular were fairly chuckle-worthy, with Fabolous' skills adding even more silliness to the wordplay on the track. Most of it is pretty cheeseball stuff though, so I wouldn't call this a lyrical masterpiece. The rhymes are delivered effectively though. Even those not familiar with the original should check this one out. It's not on repeat at the moment, but it's made its way into my rotation. Give it a go. |

This is just about on par with the original. I like what they did with the verses, and Fabolous sounded so dope that I wish they had another MC on here instead of Chris Brown. Even though Brown didn't really impress on here, he doesn't hurt the song either. 3.5 stars

I think Chris Brown makes this a good remix. People just always hate on him these days since the whole Rihanna thing but the dude can sing and has some good lines. My only complaint is that the remix took so long to come out after the original.
