In Eastern religions, the sacred lotus or padma has long been held up as a symbol of divine beauty, sexual purity and non-attachment to the external world, thanks to its ability to “float” above the water’s surface without getting wet or soiled. (Thanks, Wikipedia!) The Lotus Flower Bomb Wale addresses on this newly-leaked album standout? Beautiful she may be but, if the Maybach signee has his way, her purity won’t last for long. A smooth and seductive counterpoint to the glossy game-spitting of Best Night Ever, this cut finds Mr. Folarin exercising his powers of amorous persuasion over Sneak Beatz’ airy key and slow-burning rhythm section. In addition to a silver tongue, he shows his usual quick wit:“Easy baby, I know you the bomb, but I’ll be damned if I don’t land mine/landmine.” Jive Records hitmaker Miguel handles guest duties, providing backing ‘Ah‘s, “Oh‘s and “Oohs” as well as a steamy chorus. Are you head over heels for Wale’s latest effort? Then you’ll undoubtedly find more to like on the emcee’s Ambition LP, set to hit stores and online retailers Nov. 1.

Wale clearly has one mission with this new album - to crush the charts with radio-ready singles. This sounds like a winner to me.

Wale's forte is smooth tracks like this, "That Way" and "Best Night Ever". Miguel smashed it out of the park as usual. Wale went from just ok in my book to on my radar.

This song grows on you. I guarantee after a week you'll be sold. Miguel really shines here as a nice compliment to a Wale who's in his zone with a slow jam.

I feel it deserves more stars than just three. Coming from a female, this song is really smooth and I really can appreciate the way Wale is a gentleman on the track. It's refreshing to see that in this day of music!!!!

Let's be honest, this track should be Miguel ft. Wale. He steals the chorus and adds hooks in between everything that hold this song together. Wale's first verse could be cut and I wouldn't miss it. His second verse is definitely solid though. Production feels like it's missing something too, not sure what. The synth arp maybe needs to show up more often. Songs like I'm On One and Make Me Proud just spam it the whole time through and it works.
