Though you, the readers, chose Drake as Breaking Through Next Year in the 2008 Best of the Booth Awards (and we, the staff, chose runner-up B.o.B.), the comments following the announcement basically said that all of the five candidates are ready to hit the ground running in ‘09.  One of those five is Wale; preparing to get Back to the Feature with the release of his much-anticipated mixtape, he brings along his UCB bandmate and another frequent collaborator to step out and enjoy the Washington D.C. Nightlife.  As Tre handles the hook, Wale and Young Chris each spit some laid-back (but lyrically nimble) rhymes over Mikey Mike‘s live-band beat.  If you think Nightlife has appeal, just wait until two weeks from now, when Wale will premiere his new, Cool and Dre-produced single, Chillin’, featuring Lady GaGa.

I liked the production.

Name a better threesome?

Lauren London, Christina Millian and moi.

But anywho

This joint is straight. Usually, Wale gets off harder than this. No hate though. The verse was average. Young Chris has been bringing it lately though...undeniable. Wonder what's good with a new album and it's he'll get that good distribution and promotion. Tre is a dude? Sounds like a female on the hook. The hook is average. Overall, this gets rotation.

This production was real cool, and I like the soulful hook. I liked the flow on the verses, but it was nothing too special.

That production is... playful. but that's a very good thing lol. i like it alot.

as usual, wale impresses me. love what he's doing, can't wait for the album.

as for his single, note that was a early leak jacked from the studio. the final cut will have more refined production and the aforementioned Lady Gaga, who was nowhere to be seen on that leak.

Wale has A LOT up his sleeve on this new album; he met with Interscope head honcho J.I. this week to showcase the goods. Watch out... he has what it takes.

@aspiring dj - thanks for helping us provide proper and correct knowledge to our readers!

Its ok. Tight beat. This track definitely has energy and Wale sounds pretty good on here. The hook sounds like it has a lot of potential but wasn't quite on point in my opinion. In rotation.

Once I saw Wale and Young Chris on a song, I thought I would definitely like this song but it seems a bit boring to me for some reason.
