Wale - World Tour
Artist: Wale
Featuring: Jazmine Sullivan
Producer: Cool & Dre
Album: Attention: Deficit
Label: Board Administration/MMG/Warner Bros.
Having already accumulated a broad national fanbase (including Bun B, Young Jeezy, and Lindsay Lohan), Wale is more than ready to take the next step: widening his reach on the global scene with a World Tour! On this newly-leaked track, the D.C. buzzmaker takes a page from Kanye‘s College Dropout/Late Registration rhymebook, jet-setting from U.S. hotspots New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago all the way to London, Scotland, and Tokyo. Jazmine Sullivan adds a dash of crossover appeal with some soulful hook and backing vocals, and Chillin producers Cool & Dre amp listeners up with an upbeat piano-loop instrumental. Though there’s been no word as to whether Wale and/or his Allido/Interscope label team plan to release World Tour as a single, the Booth heartily endorses the idea—imagine how great the music video would be! In any case, the globetrotting track is sure to leave fans more excited than ever for the Oct. 30th release of Wale’s debut, Attention: Deficit.

If this isn't eventually released (or at least considered) as a single I would be shocked. It has everything you'd want in an appealing radio record. Everyone does a fabulous job here.

Love the song! Wale kinda does rewind me of Kanye like around College Dropout/Late Registration. At first I was never really that excited about him but I'm starting to warm-up.
Jazmine's voice is incredible and powerful. I always love her hooks. |

This definitely needs to be a single..no question. I'm really excited to see what Attention: Deficit will sound like and I can tell it will be dope. I can tell that this is the year that Wale gets on the hip-hop map. This song has that anthem type feel to it and all-around it is a masterpiece. Cool & Dre's production is crazy hot with the piano and the bass! I like how Wale and Jazmine Sullivan both had choruses. When Wale's chorus hit the first time I was like aww shit this is going to be dope because of the catchiness of it.... and I love the background vocals from Jazmine. Wale's lyrics and flow are significantly better on this compared to Chillin. His lyrics flow perfectly and he's spittin so good you cant even keep up to what he's saying. Dope lines throughout and the production is fire. This is the type of song I will never get tired of..perfectly crafted! And yes Wale is in my top 5 right now he has been spittin that good recently with the leaks that have been comin out off his album and Back to the Feature. All he needs now is national recognition that he is one of the elite rappers in the game!

This isn't a single sound to me. This sounds more like the last song on an album

Wale! Wale! All that needs to be said. His album has great production (Cool & Dre and Best Kept Secret; you can't go wrong), and then Wale will land down the lyrical punch.
@HoamBoy: Aside from the obvious, it might be this... "We on a world tour, with Common my man/after each and after show a couple dykes in the van" I like references like that. "We on an award tour with, Muhammad my man/Going each and every place with the mic in their hand" |

with production by Cool & Dre that mesmerizes the listener in its first go round, Wale steps in with high energy first-rate performance with his verses dominating everything else on here, just too many dope lines. Jazmine is impressive as always. It only hightens my anticipation for this album.

The beat is cool. I really do like th new dudes these days. I know i deff been sleepin on this dude, i really can only apologize to myself for that. In my opinion, jaz sullivan is one of the most creative r&b artists these days. She really doesnt get credit for it though...Everyone should watch drizzys new video. The successful joint has a video. http://octobersveryown.blogspot.com/

Mike Dreams (formerly known as Young Son) - Whatdown peoples! Yeah, I know. I'll tell y'all about it later.
This is one of my favorite Wale songs now. I definitely love the production and you can't go wrong with my baby Jazmine Sullivan on the hook. I like the feel of these type of records. It sort of gives me that feeling Kanye West's "CHAMPION" did. Ill track! Wale's album is going to be refreshingly dope. BTW, XxXxDaTruthXxXx, I peeped that video for "Successful". It was classic ish. That's my favorite record of this year and the video definitely depicted the feelings I felt listening to it at like 3 & 4AM in the morning, riding around my city. |

This is a solid track from Wale, but I'm not so eager to give it a Banger status. The production was cool and I liked the entire vibe of the track. The verses by Wale were good, but not great, and the hook was just mediocre for me. I did like Jazmines vocal addition to the track, though, and who wouldn't?

Finally a great Wale track. I haven't ever loved his stuff cuz everything ive heard has been mediocre mixtape quality. This track had great production, energy, and hook. Maybe I've been sleeping but I feel like Wale just crossed out of the underground scene.

Chillin never crossed over though, is what i think Aussie Pride meant. Like the setup on that record was crazy. Lady Gaga on the hook it should have been a pop hit too. Thats good in a way i guess because instead we keep getting new hot ish from Waaahhlaay...like this :)

btw i still think Chillin could blow...cuz the song is kinda old right now and as Mike Dreams said its still all over the radio and on the video shows

I"m torn between Z and Santa—It's got the pop appeal to be a single, but the vibe of a final track on an album.
Either way, it's dope. |

Dont get me wrong, this is a good song, but im not really sure its better than chillin, and i listened to some of his other songs, too- i think he deff has others songs with better "single" potential.
@ "Mike Dreams" o know youre happy waynes verse wasnt in the video-but i wasnt expecting treys part, either. But i was cool though. (P.S. How many times are you gonna change names? I was just gettin used to Yound Son. Yo, you gotta work with me here!) |

@Mike Dreams - Ive Been In....Australia, LOL? I keep close tabs on the U.S charts (mainly because the Australian charts suck) & I havnt seen it so I assumed it never got over with the general U.S population
Props on the name change by the way, there are way to many rappers with the word 'Young' attached imo. |

Just to let everyone know, the opening verse and the chorus "We on award tour...", is a verse from the classic song "Award Tour" by A Tribe Called Quest.
Great song though, loving this chill :) |

Yeah, XxXxDaTruthXxXx, Wayne's part was not needed. I wouldn't have been mad if he was included though. I know Trey put this on his album and probably used his budget for the video, and that's why he got the verse, but I would have rather wanted it to be the full 6 to 7 minute video (cinematic style) for Drake's original song, including the voicemail from his dad and stuff. But it's all good. Hopefully he will have just as much of a classic song on "Thank Me Later" where he can get deep and eclectic with the video productions.
(LOL...this is the most I've talked about a whole different song/topic on another post. I feel like this is the NahRight Comments sections now...lol. They don't never stay on topic on a post). I hope everyone will get used to Mike Dreams. I still have the Young Son skills that y'all know me for. Just a new, more marketable alias that will pay off in the long run. More info and new music coming soon! |

I've never been a big Wale fan. Just never got into dude. I wasn't impressed by Chillin except for the McLovin line which I still thought was pretty mediocore. This song's aight, but I guess I'll have to check out his album and try to find something that interests me more becuase this dude is mad popular. I think Jazmine Sullivan put it down quite nicely though.

So good to hear another Cool&Dre; joint, they make great music!
Wale was on fire with this one, he reminds a lot Kanye (Touch the sky and others), not sayin he copied his style or anything cuz Ye didn't invent rappin with metrically built rhymes and syncopated delivery with expression. But like Kanye mastered that, Wale seems to have done it too! Jazmine is just always lovely! @Mike Dreams:I totally get the new alias MH, you are the "hip Hop Dreamer" and Michael is your name. It's better than Young Son, good luck. |
