Plenty of unsuspecting gift acceptors received neatly wrapped boxes filled with brand new Nike boots on Christmas. Unfortunately for Hip Hop listeners who were hoping for music in their stockings, Wale’s single Nike Boots was the only offering the DC rapper could provide his fans. With his stock rising as high as Google, Wale’s debut effort will come in 2008 and might or might not include the name of a major label attached to the project. Currently unsigned, but receiving offers faster than Ray-J at a porn convention, Wale has worked up a remix with this past year’s #1 “feature man,” Lil’ Wayne. Strapping on his Nike boots alongside the D.C.-native, Weezy and Wale together dismantle the notion that a song about material goods must be lousy Hip-Hop; nothing says “Happy Holidays” like new blood in the game.
Dis ma joint right here.I been waitin fo da remix for a minute cause the original came out in D.C. and MD in September. And Weezy came in and killed tha remix too.An I still got my Nike Boots on too,DMV Stand Up

I'm not feelin' Wayne on this joint.... he's kool & more talented than most rappers but he's getting annoying these days =/ Wale did his thang though. His flow kinda reminded me of Kanye a lil.
you crazy if you aint think wayne murdured this joint. lol! yall gotta be kidding me now i can definitely say he missed on the party like a rockstar remix but com'on this nigga murdured nike boots. I'm a critic not a dickryda so feel how you feel just my opinion.
This song is definitely knockin but Wayne is so big right now he is in position to really pick and choose when to drop his bars, I think the more music he does the more stale his jointz get.
i agree with DjZ with all the material lil wayne puts out, we expect the best from him everytime and if we've already heard something as good before it's not as exciting; this being said, i think the box on some of his new songs is a good change, and i still love hearing the new material he can say considering how many songs he's spit out there. I like Wale's parts to this song better than lil wayne's
I really really like the beat on this track. But damn, he can't really rap that good to tell you the truth. I can't judge from one track but it doesn't sound like he can change it up that much. All the time I was just waiting for lil wayne and the wait was worth it once again. He makes the track and he needs to stop trying to help all these low budget rappers out and do his own work. It's only getting a 4 star because wayne is really that damn good...
Well, i think that wale is gonna make it, regardlous of who is on his songs..the original was tight as hell, but I agree wit Blaze, when he says that Wayne does make the track..., all together...its still a good song, just better.
yall, don't hate on WALE real talk, he has tons of his own stuff like: Uptown Roamers, Ice Cream Girl Remix Ft TCB, & WALE Dance is ja rockin 2.so don't hate on him & say he dosen't have any other songs besides Nike Boots isn't da only song he had B4, & don't say he low budget eiither cause he been on Tour in Europe 4 a minute real talk, && dis song go out to every hood in DC, && P.G. so don't hate if u ain't local real talk.
