Thanks in part to the success of his underground single Nike Boots, rapper Wale just scored a major deal with Interscope.  Ready to celebrate his new career move, the D.C. native is getting Back In The Go Go and keeping his lyrically strong flow intact.  While producer Best Kept Secret lives up to his name with a 70’s sample-based production, the true appeal comes from collabos with two of the industry’s best lyricists; UGK’s Bun B and The Clipse‘s Pusha T provide enough swagger for Back In The Go Go to bump from D.C. to Port Arthur, Texas, and then back up to Virginia.  The real indicator of success, however, is whether it will keep Wale’s eventual debut from getting pushed around.

This beat is good and the chorus samples are on point. Wale's flow is decent here. Bun B rips it a bit better. Pusha T delivers the best on the track as usual!

Wale has a unique style. I like the drums on this tune: reminds me of the congas back in the caribbean. The xylophone is also a nice touch. Nice track.

This is NOT for everyone. But then again, when Lupe came with KICK PUSH a few years ago, people were baggin' on that too. This dude has mad skill and Interscope agrees with me. Give him time...

Let me start by saying I like this song, but Wale is outshined by the feature artists on here. I'll throw it in rotation for Bun and Pusha T.

Bun B and Pusha T killed it...Never have features that out shine you on your own @*#$!! But then again..if it wasn't for them, the song would have gotten a 0 from me

outdated post but I gotta clarify dat da beat aint a 70's sample it's D.C. Go-go which is why da song's chorus is back in da go-go(the primary title is back to the feature)go-go is D.C.'s own hip hop style based off funk. You can hear da beat in his other songs like The Kramer,The Roots Song,The Perfect Plan and The Vacation From Ourselves off that mixtape. But yeah dat's a go-go beat.

but um yeah to yall who don't feel it yall cant feel da beat cuz yall aint from D.C.,P.G.,MoCo,or Va.And maybe he should dumb it down on da lyrics if his flow is too intellectual for yall.
