I'm BACK!!! Honestly, right now I am kind of tired of rappers using the rocky theme for their beats. The beat is OK. I think he has a decent flow to offer the masses, but He would have probably done better on a better beat. For me, this is just OK.
I think I haven't heard anyone else use a Rocky theme other than Cam...(who else DJ Blaze?) This production is mad crispy! Wale's delivery is amped up and dope!
Wale has always been able to spit. But I question the beat. A simple/better beat would have brought this song out. Productions could be better. But what ya expect, its a mixtape.
The beat killed it, the lyrics are sick but man i can't even listen to it longer than 40seconds until I feel like doing a one two punch on the screen like apollo creed.
Beat was too busy and didn't quite fit together well, especially with Wale's verses. Wale drops some solid verses, energetic and good flow. Coulda been better if the beat wasn't so overpowering.
Wale's INSANE. He is going to be MAJOR one day. Don't hate on the sample, listen to the guy spit. Actual rating is 4 stars, but this is getting a lot of hatin'.
I don't like the Rocky theme here either. Wale is a nice MC. I'm still waitin 4 a decent loowup to Nike Boots and I have yet to recieve. This is cool I guess, but the Rocky thing is just annoying.

I like Wale and I think this song is really nice. I just have one question, "Where is the chorus?" I know it's not "1 2 1 2 1 2." It's an okay song, a little better than "Nike Boots." "Eye of the Tiger" doesn't make me think he's as great a rapper as I initially thought and I'm starting to believe in his music less and less.
