I always enjoy a track just a little more when its artist and producer are the same; it just seems to carry a more personal tone. Just like Kanye, B.o.B., and XV before him, Voli is mesmerizing listeners with his dual ability, this time on Fade Away, a haunting single on the intricacies of love and its loss. Backed by a somber piano/guitar melody, Voli tells the tale of a friendship that took a heavy turn over a one-night stand and a foundation-shaking decision that would affect the rest of their lives: “Sometimes I think I might’ve been a better man for marrying her/ went from academic plans to unplanned parenthood.” It’s as evocative as it is beautiful, leaving listeners with something more than just a good song to vibe to. If you’re in no mood to simply let this one Fade Away, be sure to keep a lookout for the Freestyle Series alum dropping more poignant beats here at the DJBooth, and (hopefully) eventually blessing us with a full length project.

Never heard of this artist, but liked his flow on this song. The intro was a little too long, but other than that it was a good listen.

Go back and listen to Voli's first 5-7 features in the Booth. Not only is he consistent, but he has also shown extremely consistent growth. His work keeps getting (and deeper) and this isn't even his best. I'm impressed and I have a feeling many listeners in the Booth will be, too.

This track is really well done. I've never heard of Voli before, and apparently, I have been missing out. This track has so much heart and it sounds like Voli really throws all he has into his music. He really owns this track and showcases his unique and refreshing style. The production is great, and his ability to tell a story is equally as impressive. Im looking forward to hearing more from this dude.

the track which got me hook up on him was his "redemption freesytle". while i didn't enjoy his last offering "turbo" that much, this track here is just on point. as b.o.b. would say it, voli put his pain, his heart, his soul, his faith in this.
voli is definitely one of my favourite new artists and i'm excited about hearing more from him in the future! |

The intro was too long, it got boring after a while. The rest of the track is aight. I am not crazy about it.
