Since parting ways with B.G.’s Chopper City Records, rapper VL Mike has signed a label deal with Sony subsidiary label, Epic. For his debut album, There’s Only 1 Me, the New Orleans born MC has hooked up with super-producer Mannie Fresh for his debut single, Money In Here. In this ode to making a hard earned dollar, Mike takes a jab at his old label over financial issues (make sense on a song entitled, Money In Here) and applauds strippers who earn their paper just like anyone working a 9 to 5. Both VL Mike and producer Mannie Fresh are tentatively set to release new projects this spring.

It's good to hear Mannie Fresh again. His beats are great, but this one isn't that good to me. I never really thought anyone on choppa city records was good except for B.G. VL Mike isn't good enough.

Really like this track. Mannie always kills it with his production and VL Mike came hard on this track, consistent and confident flow throughout the track. Mannie on the hook is nuts and I love the beat and that lil chopped voice in the hook. BANGER [without Mannie it'd just be in rotation]

Beat this is a solid track, has a very very good meter to it. Like the piano in the stanza, i think it gives it a "fresh" sound.. pun intended

I would flange-fade this song at first until the chorus, then scratch and repeat until B side is ready

Id spin this right before going into the Hard/Crunk portion of a set

This is a great track, I notice something about the people who be on here dissing certain artist. I notice that the artist they like are completely different from the one's their so quick to diss. So if you're taste in music is different, then of course you're not going to feel something different. But back to the track. This @*#$! is hot, great production, VL Mike delivers on a club track with street lyrics, just how I like my club songs. You won't find no weak, pop, dancing, chanting lyrics here. But that gutta street @*#$! on a club like level. If you into real Gangsta rappers, niggas that spit that street @*#$!. Then VL Mike (R.I.P.) really brings it. I said it once before and I'll say it again. In the South Louisiana got that gangsta rap @*#$! on lock, especially New Orleans artist. They really bring that murder, murder, kill, kill, get it how you live, kill or be killed music. Nobody can take that away from them. None of these so called D-Boy gangsta rappers. That's why I mess with their artist so hard. Been a fan of gangsta rap and I love that raw gutta @*#$!!
