Although he’s only 21 years old, UK producer Vex Music has the résumé of a veteran; working with British artists such as Crazy Titch and MC Doctor, as well as US acts like Kelly Rowland, Prodigy, and Twista. Using his many versatile production experiences, the East Midlands (Northampton & Nottingham) representative is preparing a compilation album, entitled B.Y.E Vex, which includes most of his frequent clients. On his new single, Wait For Me, C.R.E.A.M. Cartel alumnus Trixta has his eyes on a female and is willing to do anything she wants in order to get with her. Unlike US producers, who frequently jump on their own records, the vocals on Wait For Me are handled entirely by the guest artist, leaving Vex to do what he does best.
The beat is definitely pretty sick, but very carbon copy like. Dude sounds funny as ever. He sounds like he has no identity. The hook is okay I guess. His delivery is real catchy. I found myself bobbing my head to it by the second verse, so I'll throw this in rotation.
I really like the production on this, I like how the elements of pop, r'n'b and hiphop have been merged. The accent is definately weird to me, however the rapper has a great delivery and commercial appeal. The chorus is extremely catchy. This song is great commercially and addictive and would appeal to many music listeners. I can see it doing well worldwide, and a radio favourite. Great sufff.
Im surprised yall like this after not liking most of the english tunes that end up on here.
this is alrite, i like the production and the hook but the artist shoulda been a better pick.
This is not bad. I'm still not really big on the Brittish accent rappin. Sounds strange to me. This dude can flow no doubt, I just have ignorant ears. This beat is nice. I love how it breaks down and builds up. Especially at the end.
Production is really, really GOOD! I love how it goes in the “bridge” (if you can call that by the end as it), all different genres were well put together! Surprisingly enjoyable!
club banger!! I have been lovin the UK invasion with hits including, Kenna ft. Lupe Fiasco - Say Goodbye To Love REMIX, "W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E" - Wale and Estelle featuring Kanye West - American Boy
Love the rap/techno production and I like the unique sound, usually UK rappers arent my favorite but this is crisp and sounds great. Definitely could see it on the radio.
when I saw high ratings for this and listening to the beginning of the song its starts a little slow to me so I was wondering what you guys where hearing at first but once you get into the hook of this song and the rest then I liked what I heard a little. 3.5 stars
This song is different, in fact it comes from UK! I agree with mad(e) in Italy, it's nearly house! House music has a large space in the club music scene in Europe. Anyway I'm not crazy for this. The beat is the main point of the song, I'm really feeling it! it's energic and catchy. But he rapping this beat sounds a bit out of place to me, I don't know why. Before putting it in my mp3 player I'll take one more listen
Shout out to my man Vex from across the pond! I love the house music feel (as it is HUGE in Chicago and always has been) and as we've talked about in the BOOTH for the past year... hip hop and dance have converged and this pairing is here to stay (or there to stay, I guess haha).
This isn't techno but the vocal chopping and effect is, the drums are more "house", the style is more pop/r'n'b overall though with a hip-hop twist. But you can't really label this song under one genre of music which is the great thing about it. It reminds me of that Kanye joint "Stronger."
This one has lots of promise..smooth beat, a touch of R&B, HipHop, House with a slight tinge of reggae to it. The ladies are gonna eat this one up on the dance floor.
