In addition to being a talented vocalist, Verse Simmonds is an ardent admirer of the female form—especially when it’s in motion. On his latest promo single, SK‘s slow-winding synth grooves set the mood as the Virgin Islands-repping Booth regular asks an alluring shawty to Shake Dat for his viewing. Gucci Mane assists, announcing his intent to touch as well as look min a libidinous guest 16. This joint is currently unattached to any forthcoming project, but Verse fans can hear more on the artist’s Sex, Love & Hip-Hop tape, available for free digital download as of mid-April.

This is a tight track. Verse doesn't show lots of vocal ability on this one, but he makes up for it with his flow. Gucci was a cool addition.

Verse has somewhat limited range vocally. Well, at least we have not heard an argument against that claim. But that doesn't matter, because this type of record doesn't call for much more than he supplies. Ultimately, though, this doesn't scream hit to me.
